      Same. I love Japan during the 90's. They did it right, and the cars are much more practical to own. I have one myself, and it's finicky, but it'd be hell owning a horse on its hind legs. Haha

    this guy needs to learn a thing or two about cars.. and how to drive them.. I don't think he got past 3000rpm once. I've owned 3, if you actually put the gas down even slightly hard, you will get pinned back in the seat. and yet the rump cabbage is hollerin like he's having the time of his life flying through traffic. buddy...come on... that car can do so so much. let it eat!

    • @levimillsaps769
      @levimillsaps769 7 лет назад

      I think your words got a little mixed up... Not sure exactly what you're asking. There are 5 types of value for this car. The more original and in good condition it's in, higher value.
      The later the model year, higher value.
      If it happens to be an original JDM Mitsubishi GTO as opposed to a 3000gt or stealth, higher value (in the US).
      If it is a true vr-4 or stealth R/T TT (not a base model or SL, and not a stealth ES or R/T), instant much higher value.
      If it is a specific special edition or model year, such as being a 1999 vr-4, a GTO MR, 1995/96 spyder vr-4, an all original 1994 vr-4, a 1996 stealth R/T TT, stealth convertable, 3000gt custom convertable, or a 2000/2001 GTO, instant higher value, like almost double a normal vr-4.
      The last thing would apply to most of the categories I've mentioned-if it has been modified.. that can raise or lower value. The owner must have done the proper mods and done a good job at it. A list of reciepts and records ups value. High mileage usually does lower the value, due to known issues if not properly maintained, but if the block has been rebuilt etc the right way, it doesn't matter how many miles are on the body. Its instantly worth a bit more. Most vr-4s you are gonna find however, with xxx,xxx miles below like 150,000 that may or may not have been rebuilt blah blah blah that are -not- one of those special editions or whatever, should be in the $5500-9000 range. And given the choice.. having had such a history with them, but having experience with many other turbo and turbo awd cars, I would personally have a vr-4 or an eclipse gsx before I'd have any high mileage sti. Mostly personal reasons though. Stock, 3000gts aren't so reliable for the average person. You gotta love these cars to have them as a daily. They sometimes are headaches for other people. But if you love them properly they'll last forever as any car would. (Except Fords because ya know.. FORD. Ha.)I saw one recently for sale.. not a vr-4, just an SL. But it had 400k miles, not rebuilt, running just fine. I say go with a 3000gt vr-4 if it suits your lifestyle. Apologies for the long post. Any questions just ask.

    • @brunoehlert4809
      @brunoehlert4809 6 лет назад

      3000GT especially the VR4 is a very particular animal. I do not understand these people wanting to compare them to STIs and Camaros. Actually, and 3000GT SL is a fine touring car and reliable provided you do the services/ maint. on them. VR4s are more complex, active aero, suspension etc., how reliable is a 911, Lambo or Ferrari of the same era???

    • @Kseriessuck
      @Kseriessuck 5 лет назад

      Levi Millsaps stock they actually weren’t all that crazy they were so quick even for todays standards but what sucks is the stock 9b’s only work till 6k rpm, run 13 or 15g turbos and spin it to 7500 rpm and you’ll get a much more deadly car

    why you take your foot of the accelerator when you change the shift? I get you take it a little bit, but you stop accelerating a lot, just use the clutch in a more controlled way (no, you won't hurt the clutch, I have had many manuals for 20 years, drove them all the same way, never changed the clutch in any of them)
