I was watching the touch screen map in the intro running at 2 frames per second and then you said "this Aya Neo Flip DS that you see on the screen is playing Mario Kart 7 at full speed" And then put the 3DS next to it where the lower screen was running at a solid 30/60 fps.
He does put a disclaimer that the bottom screen is not full speed on screen. It seems like a smart compromise to get the feature to work smoothly. I'd rather a low fps bottom screen than 2 mid fps screens personally.
Ok this is a crazy question but any chance I can get this to work with Nvidia 3D with upscaling? I.E. more resolution than the 3DS outputs by default at full speed (I mean at least 2x please) and working with that old Nvidia 3D thing that allows for 3D glasses on the right display. Im guessing not but may as well ask.
Upscaling seems like something that should work to me. I briefly dabbled with AMD's upscaling settings and couldn't achieve any notable difference, but it's something I'm going to keep messing around with. I think 3D might be more difficult. As far as I can tell, there isn't a way to stream gameplay in 3D (even with 3D active on the 3DS). For that reason, actual performance might be limited to how well your system or display can translate 2D video into 3D video.
@@GameXData Well naturally I would want the real 3Ds 3D so I guess im sticking to Citra with its occasional slowdown issues for now. And I cant get a better graphics card for it because Nvidia 3D stopped supporting newer ones, I have the last generation of graphics cards that supports it.
I'd say that the 3ds resolution is so low that upscaling is going to struggle to make it look better. I'd wager that it'd actually look worse than native as it would show the flaws of the upscaling tech more clearly than something with a higher base resolution. If you want to play 3ds games with a higher resolution emulation is your best bet.
It should, though I haven't tried it myself. All the guides I've seen describe BootNTR as having worse performance on the older hardware though and recommend using HzMod instead. If you're interested, check out the guide linked in the video description for a bit more info.
Please keep up the amazing videos

@@Ryan-ct3rv Yeah I kind of meant upscaling as in on a system level, I didnt think that would be possible via mirroring.
I’ve been trying to get this stuff to work on my 13 year old iMac for so long that I already knew about all of these features
Weird! You just popped up in my feed 😂.
You should try bootntr hr It much better than the original ntr
but y y would u wont to do this if u have a 3ds .no point
I think the rationale for using this tech is spelled out quite well if you watch the video.
does this work on old 3ds?
