For everyone who says that the video has been accelerated - the start of the tour at the 13th second of the video, the end of the tour at 7.05 minutes. His time is 6.52 plus 13 seconds to start and it comes out on 7.05 !! So there was no video acceleration !! In games I hate people who don't know how to play and who slander others.

like how you wave at the crowd right after pivoting through a hairpin. also, not having to listen to a co-driver makes you go faster. it sounds like you tires get worn towards the end and it sounds like you're losing traction, but that doesn't matter, you just go faster!!

As a rally fan myself, only having a default gear logitech g920 steering wheel with pedals and a shifter, I have to say this video made my eyes very exhausted! Going to take a smoke ..omg! Great driving!

That mode comes with the pay-pack DLC :) It removes trees and rocks, and provides a straight road to race on :)

Holy setup man. End game gear. Only down sight for my taste is the screen been too far away so you don't squeeze all the real state of that awesome screen with the proper FOV. But hey, as we say in Spain, for tastes, colours. Congrats on such an amazing build. Also, you are fast af man.

First of all a greeting from Germany to Spain! Thanks for the great words. I did not know until now that you can adjust the FOV in DIRT Rally. I've been bothered by this for a while, but I haven't found anything in the ingame settings. I have now seen that can set in the config files. I'll test that tomorrow right away. Thanks for the tip! As for the Peugeot 306, which pushes just without end over the front axle. I come somehow clear with it, but it is not cool. Look at my last video of the Audi S1 WRX in Germany. This is more my taste ;-)
@@MatthiasFulczyk Nah man that is just my taste, with such a big screen you probably can have it that far away and not lose much vision. I have a 34" 21:9 and I have to get it as close as possible to me xD.
DR2 has a FOV slider in its in-game settings (no need for .cfg) There are no FOV values displayed there but they correspond to the values mentioned in this thread forums.codemasters.com/topic/34787-fov-in-dirt-rally-20/.
About the understeer, yeah FWD like to underseer a lot on throttle. Will probably try this combo later this week and see if I can fix the entry oversteer with a car setup. Cool or not, you are probably faster than any of us in the comments in this stage lol. Will check your S1 video for sure!

@@MatthiasFulczyk Impressive piloting, has to be said whether you've "learnt" the course / stage or not - to get it that precise and at that speed was a sight to behold, I shall subscribe to witness more, plus your whole rig is superb.
On a side note, as an experienced driver myself (not rally, just country roads where I live over 40 plus years in my audi quattro) the only thing that made this look a little odd was the amount of lock you were having to use (which is presumably a gaming thing) but could you not set that up to act more like a quickrack? It's almost as if the steering is set up as a road car. Perhaps it was due in part to the type of car you were driving too (it is FWD?), and that's the mechanics of Dirt 2 (never played it yet) or perhaps that's just the way you like it set up but it looked like it had serious understeer issues causing you to have to add copious amounts of steering input for relatively shallow bends in the road / track layout? Not trying to be a clever clogs, just genuinely interested in how you drive quite honestly.
@@LOOKINVERTED Thanks for the compliments. The Peugeot 306 Maxi can only be driven really fast in my opinion. It's not 100% realistic, but unfortunately no other rally simulation is. Gravel is already implemented quite well in Dirt Rally.
@@MatthiasFulczyk Appreciate the reply, and yeah, however it's set-up and however the game mechanics are implemented are invariably unique game-to-game but you've certainly got a talent for it with your unique style, and like I say that whole rig you've got going there looks to have been created with a labour of love.

It is not difficult, you just have to find the limits of the track and learn it, if you crash, repeat

I'd say a good few hundreds of hours and some good gear, you can probably finish the track in 8 minutes. But this is a world record so it requires some talent.

Its have a lot amount of understeers so you need to turn the steering wheel a lot more than usual to control the car.

that was insane. I have a entry setup, g29 with clutch and shifter, VR. but no handbrake yet. You sir are skilled, In my experience Dirt games are damn near more difficult than the real thing in a way.

The steering is not realistic. But the game and the setup looks great.
Unfortunately they are forced to make games not fully realistic for more people could play them. Very hard to find some real sim with a good physical model.

Good driving. But in many turns, you are turning the steering wheel way too much, you gain no more turning of your car, you just destroy slowly your tires and loose grip/understeer.

Dirt rally 2 works like that. Handling on tarmac feels just like driving on gravel with grip level cranked up. New WRC game has great tarmac physics, also modded Richard Burns Rally with updated physics is just superb as well.
this is just INSANE! Not a single error in a prolonged 150+ km/h. I don't think nobody would be able to do this in real life. It's just to fast. This is also why I think computers will never be able to replace human brain.
You need to try this game in vr for example on oculus quest. Immersion is plus 100!

I've been playing with a controller for years. And I can say that you can't have this level of accuracy with a controller. You'll always be slower :/
tbh you can. Steering wheel theoretically works just like a controller thumb stick but with only the x axis
@@Jacquelissa With a wheel you have 900 Degrees of range to adjust your steering, in a controller you have only a couple of centimeters... Think about it.
@@InsaneMetalSoldier its always about skill, not the peripherals. As a both controller and wheel player, I'd say it is certainly easier with a wheel but I can play just as good with my controller. My friend does top 10 times and he uses a keyboard

For those who think the video was sped up I recommend to buy a watch. The driven time was 6:52 and the total time of the video is with beginning and end at 7:16. That looks so fast is once the monitor with the large FOV and the GoPro with its wide angle distortion. Looks just like the speed of light, but is not.

Absolutely UNREALISTIC ! In real live condition ,you drive like that in race ...you lose you gearbox on the second chicane...and you know it better ,because look like you are PRO rally driver...other than that ...good reflexes !
