Water all you crops every day that it doesn't rain. 3. Check the TV for the next day's forecast and the current day's luck. (Luck matters in most things in Stardew, but not all.) 4. You CAN chop down trees, if you axe them enough. Just beware this drains your energy rather quickly until you're able to level up you tools. 5. Forage! Then SELL! You need funds to purchase... Things. 6. That big box that you put the never-again-mentioned fiber is you selling box. Anything you place in it will be sold overnight. The biggest downfall to it is that only the last thing you place in it can be retrieved... So (this goes without saying now, but...) be careful there!
So exited for more stardew episodes! Once you build a chest (press 'b' for crafting menu) you can keep extra stuff. The brown bin by the house is for selling crops, fish, extra artifacts/gems, etc. As for the fishing mini game, you want to keep your green rectangle on the fish icon until the green bar on the right reaches the top. If you press 'a' the bar will go up and not pressing anything makes it fall. It takes a bit of practice but the higher your level gets the larger your green bar will get. Fishing, although challenging, is one of the things that most players focus on during the beginning of the game for gold. Also you can cut down the trees on your farm it just takes multiple hits, basically keep going and it will fall eventually. The fibres no big deal, I throw it and sap out all the time for extra space during early game, so you'll bounce back fast. Hope you enjoy the game Ryan :)
you get a LOTTT of fiber throughout the game, it was a lot that you sold but it isnt a huge deal lol. dont worry too much!! to make a chest you will need more wood most likely and then go into crafting menu and click the chest. once that is placed anywhere on the ground (inside or outside) you can click on that and put things that you want to keep but not hold, i would put a couple parsnips, anything that says resource when you hover over it, so wood, fiber, stones and sap and any wild seeds you find you can just plant and water. i recommend fishing a lotttt because that lil minigame will get easier as your skill goes up and selling fish is a good way to make some good money
hi ryan! so excited you're playing stardew! the wooden box is basically your sell box. in your inventory, you can make a chest out of wooden that you can store. With the hoe, you can till the soil and plant all dif kinda of plants, however they must be in season. You then must water the plants everyday until they are grown. Produce is one of the best ways of making money. Also, new branches, rocks, and weeds appear on ur farm daily, so dont worry ab materials like stone, wood, or fiber but i would stockpile those when u need them later. The geode can also be broken open and u can donate them (obv once u find one u donated already u can sell it). Fishing is hard at first but it gets easier w/ practice, try to hold the A key down instead of pressing it rapidly. hope this helps (sorry for the long message)
I am loving this series already!! Stardew is one of my favorite comfort games. You can fill the dogs bowl every morning using your watering can and give them pets everyday too by clicking on them. There is also a setting to highlight in red what you're clicking on. Can't wait for the next video!!
Omg been playing this game for a while and this made me stressed out but laugh so hard. Okay so some helpful tips: When you’re first starting out you run low on energy quick. The best things to make starting out are field snacks you can make from chopping down trees. You will eventually plant your crops and be able to make dishes with them. Your bin by your house are to sell things. Fish are good money to start out. The building by your house will be built into something within a couple years. You can break trees you just need to hit them for awhile since you’re tools are at their weakest right now!! You will be able to upgrade them with silver and gold and one not at the blacksmith after you get the materials for it from rocks and or in the mines, also the little worm looking boys you see in the ground when walking around, hit them with your hoe and you’ll find stuff!! I’m sure I have so much other stuff to share but ahhh I’m so excited for this series!!! Also when you’re low energy you can eat food for energy or sleep, there will be meals you can make for more energy and even life elixirs you can craft as well, it’s a lot to take it when you don’t know what your doing and trying to figure it out, but honestly nothing is timed so you can take as long as you want to figure things out and gather what you need, don’t feel pressured by time to do anything(unless it’s a mission you claim later down the line on the cork board thing, but you’ll understand the game more by then!!) literally just a calm cozy little game, it’s one of my favorites, so so so so fun and enjoyable and fun fact, the whole game was made by one singular person? Incredible honestly

The organization of the switch games looks beautiful! Personally I’m more sad about the seeds compared to the fiber so don’t feel too bad lol but I love stardew and am looking forward to more content! This was hilarious!! I love that you’re enjoying the sounds! A lot of other comments left some great info, especially for your snacks, but I can try to leave a few tips. TIPS 1.) You can only save once you’ve slept and woken up, you can’t save midday. You can pause by opening your inventory since no one else is playing with you. 2.) Try to get home before 2am or else you’ll pass out and be charged by the medics, or you’ll have items stolen from thieves. If this happens, your energy won’t replenish. 3.) You’ll need a few thousand gold to upgrade your backpack, so creating the storage chests is a must for now! When you open your inventory, it’s that 5th tab with the hammer, and you already have enough wood to create the chest - just select it. You can also already create basic fertilizer with your stone too since it’ll be a while to pay Robin for that well - all of the recipes are in this same crafting tab. You’ll till the soil with your hoe/“hammer”, place your fertilizer, place seeds, and then water all of the spaces for your farm. Eventually you might need scarecrows too 4.) You might want that auto-run setting on, and the tile selection would be helpful too. 5.) There’s only 30 days for each season you’re playing in, so that will determine the crops you have and the wild items you can forage around, like there was a mushroom near the cave in the upper left of your farm, and there was a parsnip hidden among your trees. 6.) The “poops” on the ground I believe are acorns. You can get these for your snacks with the hoe, or you can allow them to grow into new trees. You can also look out for little worms in the ground, it’ll look like 3 waves on 1 tile moving around, and you can get those with your hoe for other foraging items. *** Stardewcommunitywiki.com has everything you could need, I usually use it for a list of items the townspeople love as gifts so you can have better relationships, but it literally has everything! I didn’t even know about using the tv for weather forecasts and recipes, so these comments are helpful for me too! ❤

Putting stuff in the box by your house sells it over night, so if you want to sell stuff without walking all over town you just put it in there and the mayor will pick it up over night and you’ll wake up to the money! You can craft your own chest to store stuff though!!
most foragables (parsnips, mushrooms except red mushrooms, and other ones) will give you energy when you eat them but not much. something i always do is save up some money to buy salads at the bar, those give you a decent amount of energy but i wouldnt worry about doing that until you get to the mines because mining takes SO much energy. for now i would just focus on buying seeds, i recommend buying a couple of each of these sseeds, parsnips, potatoes, cauliflower, and green beans. youll need a couple of each of those for different quests and stuff

There is an option to 'always show tool hit locations', you REALLY might want to turn it on... It shows you where you are aiming your tool so that you do not waste energy when you miss things.
I keep thinking of more things since watching your animal crossing VODs, so hopefully you come out with a new video so we can see how you’re doing lol A great time to fish is when you see bubbles coming out of the water - that means there are a lot of fish in that area to catch and you could catch more quickly, but regardless, you’ll usually get a catch on your rod wherever you’re fishing. From my experience, there’s a lot of trash in the ponds by your cabin, but a good way to increase your fishing skill. All items have a rarity scale - normal, silver (star), gold (star), and iridium (purple star). More rare is a better payout. It might be too early to get into the Community Center or the help wanted quests outside of Pierre’s shop, but these will help further the story and help unlock areas on the map, and they provide extra income. The exclamation mark in the upper right shows your in progress Quests.

You could have got it back out, but you then put mixed seeds in and took them out... You can only get stuff out before you put more things in... I think it was nice to you and sold your parsnip seeds rather than just throwing them away, but you needed them... The '!' in the upper right tells you that there are notifications... You need to find out what key you need to use to read them. I cannot imagine playing this game on a controller... On a computer, you just click on the '!'... P.S. Before you do anything else... BUILD a CHEST while you have a free inventory slot so you can put your extra stuff in it...
You are SO going to regret cutting all the tall grass... If you leave SOME, it can grow back, but otherwise, you are going to have to buy food for your livestock, or buy grass starter to start growing it again... As for the weeds(the stuff you get the fiber and mixed seeds from), cut all of that you want!
