Clint is the blacksmith, so you can find him in the blacksmith shop. But I think his mission expired... A lot of the missions expire in two days. Some, like finding the axe, never expire until you complete them.
For starting stardew completely new this is going pretty well. 🧚♀️ I saw people recommending stardew wiki website. It will help with all your questions! The game only works while you're playing. It won't continue to play once you log off. Yes keep everything you catch while fishing. Later you'll be able to craft a recycling machine and make other materials. Bug meat is used to craft bait for fishing and crab pots. You can buy a sword from Marlon or make it to level 15 or 20 in the mines and get an upgraded one for free. The elevator saves progress every 5 levels. In the settings there's options for a red square marker to see where you're striking. There's also a zoom in and out setting it will appear under your money in the top right corner.
to be able to cook you need to eventually upgrade your house with robin. i think its the first upgrade that gives you a kitchen and then you can learn recipes by watching the tv every in game day and you can also buy recipes from the bar!! with fishing, your farm pond is going to have more trash, less fish. you can find different fish in different areas like the ocean, a river, and pond. as you level up in fishing the bar on the minigame will get bigger and it will be much much easier. love the videos!!! stardew is one of my favs
PT.3 the items you can see on walks , ( ex : leeks) you can pick them up . they make as good gifts , mostly everyone loves them !! so then you can rank up in friendship, it’s helpful to keep a tab open on your phone of the “ Stardew Valley wiki “ . I like to use it to find where certain fish are located and what gifts villagers like / love !! ( it could also be helpful for you in the beginning , if you ever get confused and forget where someone lives you can always search them up on there , and also learn their schedule for the week aswell !!! ) every Friday and Sunday , there is a traveling merchant . she sells food , resources , and rare items !! some of the items she sells are very helpful for the community center , if you are picking that route !! ( it’s located near the wizards tower !! just by the secret woods ! ) in the beginning of the game i like to fish alot , it makes a lot of money !! I usually like to keep my crops for food instead of selling them , cause buying food costs too much . (( sorry if this was too much info , kind of info - dumping lol❣️ ))
Okay first I want to say I am so proud of you for growing your crops, fishing and mining!! Okay now a list of things to help you. - [ ] Fishing is better at the ocean by Willy’s you can buy bait and new fishing poles on his shop - [ ] You can not make anything to eat until you upgrade your house to have a kitchen. But you can hoe up the little turd things in the ground and they give you tree seeds which you can use to make field snacks or you can go to the saloon and buy food for energy - [ ] Can sell almost anything besides your tools - [ ] Check the exclamation point under your money for missions - [ ] When you’re buying seeds make sure you look at how long they will take to grow. Most seeds will only grow in their season and once the next season ends they die - [ ] You can also start making friends with people by giving them gifts. You may want to look up gifts to give there are okay gifts and good ones. You can only give a person one gift per day and they will love you more if you give them a gift on their birthday. - [ ] The petals in the sky are high pollinated days - your crops you should keep some to eat and make with recipes but you should also sell some which you can put in your bin by your house to sell - also you save by ending the day each time you wake up it saves but you can’t just save in the middle of the day or it just goes back to the beginning of that day. Hope this all helps! Love you Ryan keep up the amazing work❤️
hi ryan! different from animal crossing, the days only pass in stardew as u play the game (same w/ seasons) so u dont have to play everyday. Different plants take different amount of times to grow, and some plants also sell for more money (but are often more expensive to but seeds). For fishing, it doesnt matter how far u cast, but rare fish are gonna be harder to catch, and dif fish are available at dif times of the day and ofc dep on the seasons.
You may want to turn on “Always Show Tool Hit Location” in your settings (controller icon next to the exit game tab) so you’re not going over your crops multiple times, you only need to water those once a day. I have it turned off while running, but since it’s new you might want to keep that unselected. Someone else mentioned you can adjust the zoom in these settings too. You don’t need to consume an item to tell how much health or energy it will give you. If you hover over the item in your inventory like you did in the beginning with the scythe or the cauliflower at the end, it will tell you all the item stats. Your sword was on a cool down from blocking (A) when it was red and made that noise in the mines. Your weapons/items can’t break like in animal crossing, and you can upgrade them later. The quest for 5 coal that you accepted for Clint may already be expired by the time you log back in - quests from the town bulletin usually only last 2 or 3 days. He’s the blacksmith in the lower right of the map. Also, coming up mid Spring for a few days only, there’s going to be a lot of berries you can forage on the bushes all around the map. You’re gonna want to focus on getting all of these as they can be sufficient for all of your health/energy levels throughout the year.
also i would keep a little of everything!! sometimes for different quests you need certain crops or items, and eventually you can turn the trash into materials with a machine youll be able to craft eventually. but when it comes to crops, i would sell some and keep some each time you harvest them. same with forageables like dandelions and leeks, keep some and sell some so that way youll always have at least one of everything
clint is in the blacksmiths. you can bring geodes to him and find stuff inside that can be donated to the museum. i would keep the stone as u need it later in the game for Robin. You will also get better weapons and tools that will allow u to break more stuff.
Ryan if u hoe the little worms sticking out of the ground u can find resources under them!! also def recommend foraging, there's always fruit/vegs all around the town u can pick up! Ryan the bin next to ur house is where u go to sell stuff 😭 it's not a trashcan lol u can only get back the last thing u put in btw so be careful putting things in there! Clint is also the blacksmith haha so u can find his place all the way to the right of the map, right under the museum and under jaja mart
Please buy a backpack from the shop so you have more space! Also once you find clint in the blacksmith shop, theres a library right next to it where you can donate some ores you find in the mines
PT.2 If you press “ - “ on your controller you can see your quests !! when you complete said task you can press it and receive the money you earned from it also . you absolutely can chop down trees , you just have to press down the button for awhile , but it’ll eventually fall !! in the town , you can look through the trash cans !! you will find good material and food !! Sometimes you will find trash or sometimes nothing . If you keep looking in them tho , theres a chance you can find an item called the “ garbage hat “ which you can wear !! you may see what looks like three wriggling worms in the ground , if so , hit your hoe on it and it could give you materials and artifacts for the museum !!
Nice! I was scared you would give up on the game. =( You look a little lost on the first 2 videos. Just relax, this game is TOTALLY worth it! Just press the ( - ) button to open your journal. That's literally everything you need to progress if you don't want us to guide you LOL. Your journal will give you objectives and little by little you will understand the game.
Looks like this video was the end 😅 I can't blame him though, I had to do lots of research just to understand the basics... The game is not that intuitive, but it's worth it to learn ❤
I see you have not posted in awhile . I don't know if you have figured this out yet but you can put a storage chest at the top of the mine and on the beach to store stuff and free up inventory space.
I got mine used in 2020 and it’s been great! It being hand held and portable is a huge benefit! They’re finally releasing an upgraded model next year, and since the original released in 2017, it has always been selling new for around $300, so it’s a great value to look into used, and there might be more used listings once the new OLED one comes out. (I left out the Lite as I personally never thought that was worth it lol )
@@tyannawhite4074 I APPRECIATE your reply!!! I’ll wait for the new one to come out and wait and see if they go down at all and probably get a used one! I also like how they’re hand held and portable lol! Thank you for the info😁
answers to some of your questions + some fun tips & tricks !!! this is my comfort game so i thought i could help !!!! ( also been too shy to say anything , im usually a lurker hehe 🤍 ) PT.1 The wooden bin by the mailbox is where you sell things !! you should keep every item you get in the game , obviously you can sell some things . It’s good to keep materials , you should never sell them cause it gets harder to find them farther into the game . But , I like to sell things that have a star next to the item ( especially gold and purple colored stars , they have good value !! ) . If they don’t , i keep them so you can save them for the community center , quests , and as gifts !!! i like to keep my trash , because later in the game you get to craft a “ recycling machine “ and when you put the trash in it , it gives you really good resources !!
