I tried playing Isonzo using only melee weapons

- Today I woke up and decided I was tired of shooting people in the trenches. Instead, I felt like stabbing them.
This is what happens when you try to do melee only in Isonzo.

@@maxwellhohensee9787 Melee and close quarters in general is such a fun and intense way of playing. I really enjoy it but no rifle makes it harder 😭

Played in the us lobby as an aussie, high ping. Eventually realised only chance was going mountaineer and charging for melee. Literally became the mvp

@ played it today on the us servers. Melee the obly way to push through the lag. 11 kills in 20 seconds. Light infantry charging their trench at a flank. Going to town on them.
Engineer is the best defense class. Mountaineer is the best offense class. Your sniper video of that lone guy flanking around the objective on the map, thats a mountaineer.
A good player can just sprint past the enemy befkre they know whats up. Build the spawn, or go all in and arm the bomb which inevitably makes the defenders fall back. One dude with a rifle and an ice pick or flare gun wont homd the bomb. But the enemy doesn't know you're just one person. They abandon the line.
Also the flare gun spots. Only on the minimap. Can give your team lots of intel of where to go. Whether a way is clear. Super powerful offensive class.
Defensive you only need 1-2. Periscopes, and flares. Just spot the enemy.
If high level, the sniper perk makes you better than the marksmen. +33% zoom when holding breath. Only the scoped rifle is better.
The ice axe when flanking is op. Because you sprint so fast, clear a trench line out hacking away.
Best defense class remains the engineer. Worst thing to be playing mountaineer and all your routes are blocked with wire.
And engineer (with hmg and mortar handling perk) and a rifleman, and a mountaineer with flares is an unbeatable squad combo. Rifleman resupplies both parties. Flares spot and increase mortar accuracy. Mortars keep firing fast paced with perk and resupplied.
Shame more people don't play their classes right.
Defensively mountaineer with periscope and flares
Rifleman with ammo box
Engineer on mortar.
Either second engineer keeping wire everywhere, or assault class grenadier
Also optimise more with rifleman with grenade launcher rifle. Overpowered defense squad. Eg on that mountain map. Constant mortars, spotting, grenades and wire.
I absolutely love this music especially for this ww1 setting😂
Runescape music is the GOAT
When you can’t kill someone or they can’t kill you, it’s usually a bug.
I know this firsthand because someone reported me for that bug when it happened
edit: You also can’t switch weapons when it happens.

To be fair, i don't think i've ever won a single round as attacker on this map. It's freaking hard.
@@matteoorlandi856 the last stage is the hardest when you have to walk over the widest river
as a Ice Axe expert and Melee enjoyer, pathing is the most important thing to do for many kills. .)
@@loralada555 Yeah and I guess that also goes into map knowledge because you will know the best routes and places usually left undefended

Of course there are still many bugs in this game, some of them even the enemy is not hit even though they have been shot many times and several times in close combat with a knife on a rifle and even though they have been stabbed many times they are not injured at all

@@MisterBlitzkriegminus The only thing that interests me to play it is that this game is a game with the FPS genre in the first world war which is a genre that is quite interesting for me to play because the game with the second world war genre on the developer next door has closed, maybe if there is a similar game with the intensity of the developer's concern who cares more about the game maybe I will move to play there
@apriesan Then you should look towards Roblox because they have alot of ww1 games that are actually pretty good. One of my favourites is centura even though it aint ww1 exactly but more alt hist ww1.

@@MisterBlitzkriegminus I think Enlisted is still quite promising to play, especially since this game provides free play.
this game is even more difficult with bots on hard level
@@aailMaglio Wait there's difficulties to bots? I always thought they were just laser beams no matter what
@@MisterBlitzkriegminus go to server location options in the menu and put offline mode, then create a personalised game and select the number of bots and difficulties, even with easy sometimes you can't even win as an attacker

Im honestly thinking that guy may of been cheating. You had somone try to shoot him point blank and nothing happened. Which is a shock to me as thatd of been the first person i would of seen cheating. i thought it was a glitch for the first time, like high ping. but that second time... a little fishy.
@@conscript900 yeah that was my honest reaction to it aswell. I remember running into something similar with a guy stuck under a tree and no matter what you did you couldnt kill him. (Pretty sure I have footage of that in my engineer video)
@@MisterBlitzkriegminus Always possible. Still That seems to be a rare sight. Thats one of the benifits of smaller game communities like Isonzo, Not as likely to run into arshats who want to ruin the game by cheating. (really shows they cant play worth crap too)

Was there a reason you chose too do this as assault over mountaineer
@@VB-12 Yes and no. There isn't any actual reason as to why besides the fact that I only had melee weapons unlocked on assault so far.
@@MisterBlitzkriegminus well when you unlock it on mountaineer I highly recommend it with the increased sprint speed and screaming monkey noises
