Gorgeous!! 🎉 I've said it before and I'll say it again: Even if I won thr lottery I just couldn't wear or buy such decadence but I appreciate beautiful artwork. Another wonderful video and topic by my favorite Jewelry Historian !
@JewelleryPleasure My pleasure ! Great topic ! What about doing a video or series on the Crown Jewels and Regalia of different countries and former countries?
LOVE me an Olive Wreath Tiara in the Ancient Roman Style. But made of diamonds, of course lol @JewelleryPleasure always picks the best most gorgeous pieces to showcase in his videos !
I am an Australian and did not realise how expensive a jewel collection Dame Nellie Melba ( a made up sir name to represent the city of Melbourne in Australia where she came from.) had.
Beautiful pieces and amazing craftsmanship - but these jewelry pieces should not be privately owned, they are our shared cultural heritage and should be on public display for everyone to enjoy!
Hate the auto translation..the program mispronounces so many words it’s a distraction. It makes one wonder if the channel is AI generated. If not..please let us know who you are and why you use this auto translation
I am suspicious of some of the Christy's auctions recently. I suspect that; those photos are photoshopped, and the auctions illegal. I would think that the certificates for those gems are fake and the GEMS are stolen.
They are most definitely Blood Diamonds as most Diamonds before the last 20-30 years are actually they still are. But what makes you think the auctions are fake? 🤔 I'm just curious this is not at all a mean post (it's hard to tell tone through posts and texts!😊 )
Exquisitely elaborate designs and artistry. A pleasure for the eyes.
The Eglantine's necklace would beautifully match with the Strathmore Rose tiara.
I love to learn of the history of these wonderful pieces of art. Thank you.
Thanks for watching!
My favorite Era for fashion and art ❤

In this video, my favorite pieces are the Eglantine necklace, the olive wreath tiara and the diamond tiara with a blue enamel background.

Princess Marie (Bonaparte) of Greece got the Olive wreath Tiara done when marrying the Greek Prince George!

the gilded age and Edwardian are are completely different. the gilded age was from 1865-1904 where as the Edwardian era was 1901-1910

Pronunciation is so bad, even in English. Have had to silence the narrator, and just look at the images.
Every time this zScot talks he'll mispronounce something. This time marquise is pron 'eese' at the end!!!! Suzette
