Hi! I have never tried the Alpha V Trail unfortunately but I can tell you that the V Trek's are a great barefoot running shoe with a slightly thicker sole when compared to the KSO EVO.
It honestly depends on the surface. The KSO EVO are my favourite and go to pair for mainly asphalt running but they become a little challenging on pebble or gravel type roads. For mountains the V Trek or even V Train are a great choice!
@@TheHealthyTeacher That confirms what I thought. I ordered the KSO EVO for running and gym days. If I like the feel of the 5 fingers vibram, I will probably get the V-Trek Men's Black / Gum for daily shoes (and hiking days). I like how they look.
Hey bro, I have had Size 44. When I used to run nikes or something. Ive got a flat feet (Mountain Shape). I tried the V-Trek in two sizes. 45 and 46. The 45: Feels like perfect fit, even tho the Big toe and the next Toe feel abit overfitted. Specially when I wear toes, I definitely feel a low pressure in the tip of my toes. The 46: A little bit of space, but definitely not a pressure feeling at all. I loop around abit and when I press my feed together, my little toe sometimes get out of the specific slot there. But besides that, they feel comfortable. Which size would you recommend?
Hi! Honestly, I have both sizes 44 and 45. My trainer size is like 44 but can be 45 too, ha! So, I use my 44 for summer when I am running without socks and 45 when I add a pair of socks in. The smaller size will form better to your foot and stretch a little but they shouldn't be uncomfortable. The larger size would be better with socks. I think I actually prefer me smaller size because over time they become really snug, comfortable and are pretty much the same size as my actual foot. There is no correct answer here if they both feel comfortable. Just get out there and run :)
My first ever purchase for this insulated v trek shoes, but then few times of average usage, one of the “soft” sole is detached and left little torn on the edges, is that normal ? How you handle that ?
Nice review, thanks. I've been looking into going back to VFF after a few years of hiatus. The reason I quit was because of the fabric between the big toe and the pointy always broke extremely quickly (several pairs). Getting any vibes regarding the durability of that particular area of the shoe? Thanks.
Bro ..im in love with the cross v trainer v2 i use them for running. .slight trail running n hiit workout . However i do not want to use them for camping or hiking or trail running and burn them out. Would you recommend these for v trekk for , hiking and trail running ? Or would you recommend the v trails v2 ?
Hey man! I love these for trail running and I love the fit, the only problem I find is the laces are long so I loop them around the back. I think this would be great for hiking and trail running. I use them for that!
@@TheHealthyTeacher may i ask , did you cross shop betwen the v trails vs v trek and what made you chose the v treks for running over the v trails that r meant for trail running?
@@guillermoortiz1492 I honestly just preferred the fit and the higher ankle ‘support’s that fits snugly to keep stones and sticks out when running on trails. The sole is also quite thick for trails and I found these to feel more like my favourite pair for road running the KSO evo.
@@TheHealthyTeacher thank you for the fast response! Ordering now ! Been searching for 3 weeks to find the difference between the two and if treks would be great over the trail running versionss which is what i want to do is trail run with the treks ..thanks again bro!
Riva-Torbole and back is my favourite running track!! Well done!

Yes! Especially if you walk in the woods or on trials.

Which size did you get compared to the KSO EVO?
I got 44 in Both :). Both fit fine!

I did have this happen with a pair of the KSO EVO after a few runs. I just used some strong shoe type glue :).

Hey, thanks for the comment. They've been great for me and no fabric has come loose. I've probably done around 300kms in them since this video!

Any thoughts on the sizing of these? Did you go true to your normal shoe size or size up?
Hey! I went true to size and they fit perfectly for me! I bought them online but I would try to try them on in a store if you can!
Fishy smell is caused by not wearing socks . Get some toed socks .
Thanks!
