@@jonmcinnis1645 That is a lot. As cool as the shared universe and crossover stuff is, I’m not sure if I would be good at it. I would rather focus on one franchise, like the Transformers. I would want to write a new continuity taking into account both Transformer politics while still keeping the usual good vs evil story. A long time ago, the 13 Primes ruled over all of Cybertron peacefully. However the Prime known as the Fallen wanted to make Cybertron the capital of a conquering empire and was able to get others like Liege Maximo on his side. The 13th Prime, the Arisen, opposes this and gathers his own allies. Soon two armies are formed; each led by six Primes while Solus tries to keep the peace. A summit falls apart with the Fallen accidentally killing her and kicking off the war. By the time of the final battle, the only remaining Primes are the Fallen and the Arisen. Afterwards, only the Arisen remains. He realizes that the followers of the Fallen are too radicalized to just reintegrate with his followers, but he can’t bring himself to slaughter them or even to exile them. He fought the war to prevent Transformers from causing suffering beyond his world, not to inflict said suffering on each other, not to mention the Arisen feels he owes it to Solus to try and reconcile their people. So the 13th Prime allows the followers of the Fallen to forge their own nation while his people do the same, dividing the planet in two. The followers of the Fallen go on to become the Decepticons, ruled by an emperor usually chosen via gladiator fights. The Arisen becomes the head of state of what becomes the Autobots, but it’s an elected council that makes the decisions. The Prime declares that from now on, all who take his position must try to reunite the Autobots and Decepticons as one people. Till All Are One gets an interesting meaning in this story. Many Primes later, much progress has been made despite the difference in beliefs. Autobots and Decepticons are allowed to switch nations/factions and the Prime and the Emperor have constant meetings. One of the best examples of this time of hope is the friendship between Autobot Orion Pax and Decepticon D-16. D-16 is a miner who is trying to become a gladiator so he can become the next emperor while Orion has had multiple occupations like being a space port worker, being an archivist, and even being a cop. Orion is thus very understanding of multiple perspectives in life while D-16 is just laser focused on his future. Sentinel is a decent Prime who is making great progress with the current Decepticon Emperor, but he secretly has a major dislike towards Decepticons that is only tempered by his responsibility to his job. One day, D-16 learns that Sentinel is pressuring the Decepticon Emperor to dissolve the Decepticons completely so that they can all integrate into the Autobots. D-16 is furious the emperor is even considering the death of their nation and way of life and proceeds to manipulate Orion Pax to help forge a plan. In the end, both leaders of Cybertron are killed and D-16 renames himself as Megatron, crowning himself as the Emperor of Destruction. After revealing the truth to his people, Megatron declares war on the Autobots and proceeds to wipe out the council in charge. In all of this chaos, the Matrix of Leadership finds Orion Pax and turns him into Optimus Prime. And thus the Great War kicks off. The ferocity of the Decepticons eventually drives the Autobots from Cybertron and they scatter across the stars, usually setting up colonies and outposts on worlds filled with organics who will be targeted by the Decepticons. At first the Autobots make public alliances with organics, but between some organics being greedy to turn Transformers into weapons or technology they can use, such alliances fall apart and the Autobots resort to living in secret on organic worlds, waiting for the Decepticons to strike. Optimus Prime chooses Earth to act as the headquarters of the Autobots because of how unsuspecting the planet is compared to other worlds, such as the lack of space travel technology. Inevitably a Decepticon patrol finally targets Earth and the Autobots reveal themselves. While some nations on Earth act hostile to both sides like in the Marvel and IDW comics, other nations are more welcoming and recognize the differences between the sides like in the cartoons. America would be in the former category and Japan would be in the latter given how America in the comics is always one of the nations most distrustful of the Transformers while in Transformers Anime and Manga, the Autobots are celebrated as heroes like in the cartoons.
