    Wish y'all would make a "instructions for dummies." I'm a new DJ learning A LOT of new things. I've finally gotten around to buying nicer lights, and my new Intimidator 260x is my most expensive light so far. I'm so new at the lighting that I really barely know anything about it. The owners manual is useless. I've looked up RUclips videos and none were helpful. I know this light does more than I'm seeing it do, but I have no idea how to use the settings, nor are they explanations on what some of these settings do; ie, pan, tilt, angle and the numbers associated with them. It's so frustrating.

      @@JayTechTips Majority of our fixtures are 5 pin, with the occasional 3Pin / 5Pin. It also stops others from using XLR mic cables with our lights. • @reissallan
      @reissallan Год назад

      Plug a DFIXLR into the XLR port and now you have a wireless moving head.
      There are thousands of people who use a remote to control lights at special events. Solo DJs would greatly benefit from this technology, or even permanent installations in VIP rooms at night clubs. While you may not agree, that's what our research has shown. These fixtures have been released into the market already and the demand for the RF remote is extremely high proving that our research was spot on. The good news is that you don't have to buy the remote if you don't want to use it.

      @reissallan Год назад

      @@djLovelyTime If we installed our DFI receiver into the light, or we included a USB port to connect a DFIUSB, or we allowed customers to use DFIXLR... it's still Chauvet's proprietary wireless solution. This is no different than other manufacturer's who force you to buy into their ecosystem. If you are looking for a more open wireless solution, you need to look at our Chauvet Pro line which uses WDMX. As I mentioned to you earlier, we cater to multiple markets and maybe the DJ product line is not for you.

      @@reissallan All the mobile DJs I speak to are heavily investing in Chauvet WELL STX, which cost in excess of 4-5k for just six of them.
      They have the funds for mid range gear, believe me.
      There are many RGBW zoom wash fixtures coming onto the market in the 800-1.5k price range.
      Chauvet could very easily bring this into the DJ lines but are content releasing budget units like the Q60 which could easily accommodate wireless DMX for a couple hundred more, but they won't because they care very little about the genuine needs of customers and changing trends.
      Everyone is using Soundswitch, Wolfmix, Lightrider etc. We're tired of colour wheels and poor solutions which require cables and/or third party wireless solutions.
      Buck the trend and stop focussing on the bottom line.

      @@djLovelyTime There are 2 completely different business models within Chauvet Lighting that cater to different markets. If you're looking for RGBW washes within the $800-1.5k range, you should check out the Intimidator Wash Zoom 450 IRC which is $1169 and meets your criteria. That fixture has motorized zoom as well as multiple zones of control for eye candy effects.
      You say Chauvet doesn't care about the genuine needs of customers and changing trends, but Chauvet was the first to bring a RGB color mixing moving spot with MinSpot (many years ago) and we were the first to bring you aerial effect using LEDs (check out our old Vue product series) and we were the first to bring you "power linking" that nearly everyone has copied, and we were the first to bring you our patented BTair, our patented Hurricane Bubble Haze, and our patented GigBAR family... and that is just on the DJ side of things. We are very active on all social media platforms, attend and talk to customers at trade shows and road shows, etc. So, I 100% disagree with your statement, but I thank you for your feedback and time.
      If you have any product ideas that you think Chauvet should make, I invite you to join our Facebook group page titled "Chauvet DJ User Group" where the Product Development team engages with all members about product issues and ideas. And that's another example of Chauvet caring about the genuine needs of customers.
