Great video! Thanks for the plug! Quite a few years ago, we were dealers for the first stands like these made by another company. We ordered a sample of Gravity to check it out and thought it was better in a few ways plus the price point was much better. We stopped offering that company's stands and switched over to Gravity. We've sold hundreds of Gravity Stands over the years and have had tons of good feedback on them from our customers.
I have black Gravity stands and white ProX X-Polaris stands. Honestly they are of comparable sturdiness with the same alternate screw points on the base plate. The ProX stands are cheaper and come with the bags with fat zippers. Otherwise I have not observed any differences in quality. I agree with you regarding the Rockville totems size. I have seen folks keep the newer mini totems pre-assembled inside of a sedan or standing up in an SUV. We are always trying to save time, but using the actual bolts with an electric drill and socket instead of the thumb screws only takes 2 minutes each. Hiding cables inside of the totem scrim vs velcroing to the pole could be a pro or a con depending on your perspective. I do love those white moving head mounts! Great video!
Are you referring to the Prox X-Polaris BL Polaris Portable Speaker Stand? Do you own them and how do you like them so far? I’ve looking at these stands also.
i was just gonna say that no dissasemble just drop them down and roll load them out with a dolly or dolly cart. i actually can put 3 of them fully assebled on my rock n roller cart.
@@legendarydjmarcus1212 Hey bro, have you used the tv brackets with those totems? I'm looking at a set now, but I want to run TVs from time to time also.
i keep all my rockville totems assembled, pre wired and scrimed, all i do is shrink them down, scrim covers still on them. I can get 3 on a rock n roller cart to load out. I get what you saying about the gravity stands they provide a mininalistic look and they are easy to dissaseble over totems. what you did with your movers i did them with reg speaker stand and took speaker pole adapters and made the mover base out of wood and painted them black, and no wobble but the speaker stand legs took up real estate so the gravity bases are minimalistic. good review keep up the good content👍👍👍💯💯💯
Rockville totems don’t compare to these stands. They can easily knock over. I mount my movers to gravity stands and the stability of Rockville totems to these doesn’t compare.
My Omega bracket wings hit the ProX adapter when I try to tighten them do you run into this too? I can loosen the wing nuts to tighten the omegas and then tighten the wing nut again but then the backet and Adapter arent sitting flush the proX adapter is basically sitting on the wings of the omega bracket. Should I get different Omega brackets or is that normal?
What are your thoughts on running 2 poles on one base? Something like a m20 speaker pole for a 10” or 12” powered speaker in the middle mounting spot and the tall pole in the back for a light bar?
Yes, I use them too. I got a black one since at least 5 or 6 years and now I got 2 white one for this year. I really useful. I'm a dj from Nantes in France.
Thanks for the great Videos!!! Those smaller compact Wash/ beam movers are fine for the gravity stands…I would be concerned if you had the larger movers since they extend further out from center and generate more torque. I do need to pick up some gravity stands for a cleaner look. The tripods are too bulky and pose a trip hazard. After the 3rd time assembling the adjustable Rockville totems I just leave them together.
Hi Rick, Gravity made the extension pole in white in past. For that kind of stands. I end with flex stand for more high level, I think km must bring back in white, I have 4 from them in black. Thank
With an 85" tv how are you moving those around? I can easily find affordable bags for anything less than 65" but it gets wildly expensive after. The cases are more than the tvs.
I've been using mine for my 8" battery powered satellite speaker. Before the Gravity Stand I was using a classic stand with scrim. It was looking ridiculous because of the size ratio. Now it looks clean or maybe invisible in the roght spot which is better.
So I have a gravity stand and the mounted bracket from CSL. Great quality and build but I haven’t been pushing monograms at all because I feel like when I do them, the slightest vibration or person walking by causes the whole monogram projection to shake. I’m sure guests don’t notice but I notice and it bothers me. Do you have any thoughts on that.?
Hi Rick, Thanks for the video (again).... I want to buy some gravity stands for my 15inch speakers (mackie). Will they stand solid or should I go with typical standards.... Thnx!
Ehhh... These don't trump what a totem offers when using a moving head fixture. That wobble is not cool. Imagine someone bumping this thing with a mover on it. Damaged mover, damaged patron...

If i had $1 for every time Rick says “Tank”, I’d own two sets of gravity stands 😭

I’ve had 4 of these for a couple years now, and there’s nothing better. Well worth money.
I leave all my Rockville totem put together for that exact reason. I have 12 of them and 2 TV totems
i was just gonna say that no dissasemble just drop them down and roll load them out with a dolly or dolly cart. i actually can put 3 of them fully assebled on my rock n roller cart.

@@legendarydjmarcus1212 Hey bro, have you used the tv brackets with those totems? I'm looking at a set now, but I want to run TVs from time to time also.
@DJT-SPINN Yeah, I had to use a different bracket because it's a design flaw with the TV totem bracket
@@legendarydjmarcus1212 Ok, yeah that's what I've heard that's for the holla back. 👊🏽
Have you tried the gravity multi cart trolley? If so, which rocknroller would you compare it to?

This is a great video!! I’ve been thinking about these too but was unsure about the wobble! This helped a lot thanks!
i think that K&M 195/86 TH adapters are a better solution for attaching moving heads on the gravity stands
Love these! They also have smaller bases for like a Everse or smaller speakers.
Hi Rick how are you able to mount lights on the side of the pole instead of the top of it
Love it! I'm all about modern, minimal looking efficient setups
Been using gravity stands on my movers for a while love it so fast and clean

Wonder if it is possible to use it as a speedlight stand for photography. Maybe you have some clues about poles and best plate for that.

I really want to know too. Great question
No reason you cant except weight distribution. Can always add sandbags for more weight
Yes, I use them too. I got a black one since at least 5 or 6 years and now I got 2 white one for this year. I really useful. I'm a dj from Nantes in France.
Is it stable at the lowest height? Thinking of putting a camera on top? Are there camera adapters?
what is the maximum height can you put the TVs at?
The pole goes to 8ft so roughly 6 to 7 ft bottom tv
Will you get the both lights hybrid movers
We have them
What if you put a weight on the bottom when you have the moving heads on? They make them. Or the Pac-Man looking ones they use for a canopy.
Most 12 to 15 inch speakers weigh more than 44 pounds each, so these stands have limitations on heavier speakers.

Is there a cheaper alternative? $350 for a pair is wild
Do you have any videos or pics of the gravity stands with a Both Lighting pixel bar?
For a tv 60’ or smaller what is the general consensus to use Rockville Totems , standard truss towers or the gravity stands ?
Gravity is way faster
With an 85" tv how are you moving those around? I can easily find affordable bags for anything less than 65" but it gets wildly expensive after. The cases are more than the tvs.
will it rock and fall over if a moving head is mounted and the whole thing is on carpet?
Also, I have the same projector mount, which is the best thing ever. If you use a projector, it’s a must!
Omg, what rolling case is that for the moving heads? Super cool way to protect your investment!
It comes with the both lighting moving heads
It’s what I moved to a few months ago. Flex stands and moving heads.
Do you know any other company or brand selling the projector mount . Especially in the United Kingdom.
Tough.... I only know those two companies

Yes
