    Hey, obviously a great presentation and you were getting lots of positive comments, but do you by any chance do one that’s a little less advanced? I am 100% just starting out with lighting and purchased a pair of these guys and to be honest, you were going so fast I couldn’t make heads or tails out of much (most?) of what you were saying.
    Obviously, most of the folks here seem to already have a working knowledge of DMX and lighting in this and so they were right on point with you, but I’m really needing someone to give me the “idiot instructions” (“ OK, now you see this button right here? This is what this button does when you push it“. “This button here will give you the option to turn reverse hand on or off, now this is what reverse pan on is….. and this is what reverse pan off is…..”, “ now, here are the steps that you need to follow in order to turn on the sound mode”, etc.). I think I’m just needing some more remedial guidance on these things, lol. 🤷‍♂️

      Hi, I’m sorry that the video was too fast for you. Unfortunately I do not have the time to make videos anymore; but I think that with just reading the manual and playing around with the light you’ll be able to figure it out. Everything can be accessed by hitting just the menu button, you can read the manual to find out what each thing in the menu does and determine if you want to turn it on/off or enter that mode.
      if you’re just starting out with lighting, you do not need DMX, unless you’re doing some big synchronized show. The only thing you would do regarding DMX in this case is if you had 2 or more of them; Then you’d do a “master-slave” configuration where you connect the DMX out of one light into the DMX in of the other so that they are synchronized, and maybe do a pan/tilt reverse on the second one so that they move in a more interesting pattern.

    Can you control the speed of the head movement (i.e. slow it down) in “sound” mode? Thanks….great demo.

    • @aaronproductionslighting
      @aaronproductionslighting  2 года назад +1

      I do not believe that is possible with any of their moving heads, including their most expensive ones; but it would be called pan/tilt speed. If you’re looking for control you would need to use DMX, some software based DMX controllers allow for audio to trigger cues. Though, now I wonder if the moving heads that have the ability to use DMX to trigger the auto programs and have a pan/tilt speed control channel can use those commands at the same time to make the auto mode slower… but that would be with a more advanced fixture than this one anyways.

    How bright are these? Would they be bright enough to stand out from 20 ft away or could they get lost if they were mixed in with 100w fixtures? Looking to have these as 'accent' spots

      These are way too dim, only useful if they are paired with other super dim lights in a small room or else they get drowned out. It say go for a higher wattage model like the intimidator 260 or 360

    I’m pretty sure that in 12 channel mode you have gobo shake and half colors

    What are you using for a DMX controller? I've been playing with some of the really cheap generic moving head spots and I can command a split color or gobo shake through Easy Stand Alone and a USB to DMX dongle on these things.
    As I watch...the colors and patterns are the same as is the control interface and I'd dare bet the brightness. I think the biggest upgrade on the Intimidators is the stepper motors look faster. It'd be interesting to see a side by side because the output looks exactly like these $75 things.

    Does the scan 110 have gobo shake? And which do you prefer?

    • @aaronproductionslighting
      @aaronproductionslighting  3 года назад

      I dont think so since its a color/gobo wheel and they probably saw no need for a color-shake ( I guess you can call it that, haha) but both the moving head and scanner do not have these features over DMX
