Heritage steam engine 'Azad' restored for operation in northern India.

Presently, the train is being hauled by steam engine 'WP7200 AZAD,' a broad gauge 1947, 'M/s Baldwin Locomotive Works USA' make. It was brought to India in 1947, the year of independence, and hence named AZAD. “The locomotive has been restored to its pristine beauty and mechanical engineering perfections.

भाई आपको बहुत धन्यवाद देते हैं की यह दिलचस्प व्हिडिओ दिखाई हैं.. भारतीय रेल्वे को भी धन्यवाद. बचपन की यादे जाग उठी. नयी पिढी को जाणकारी और भारतीय रेल की इतिहास समझ में आ जाये ये ठीक हो रहा हैं... और एक बात हैं की कोयलेकी shortage की वजह से ये ट्रेन चलाने में समस्या आ सकती हैं.. क्यो ना ये पुराणी ट्रेन की सेम डिजाईन रखकर डिझेल पर चला सकते हैं.. ऐसी कोई मोडीफाईड होना जरूरी हैं.. धन्यवाद.

This is nothing but waste of time, money and energy of the entire nation because in any case the old steam locomotives are of the old generation which have no relevance today. I had seen a similar video two years ago where some railway engineer is saying to the anchor that he had arranged to tow some old scrap steam engine from Bhusaval yard for restoring to it's old glory and was telling this restored steam loco will be named ASHOK. I ask why? If there is any fancy for old things to be restored then there is no end to such luxurious pastime.
