It’s a needle in a haystack out there. I’ve caught 3 burbs in my lifetime out of that lake. 307,000 acres is hard to pin them down when nobody wants those snakes anyway and have been tossing them on the ice for decades because of how ugly they are. Ha, ha!
I ran the yellow Clam Ribbon Leech Flutter spoon with 1/8 oz. and six minnows most of the night. The BB Rattler is closer to 1 full ounce if not an ounce and a half. It's big, but no dice this time. The one I caught the burbot on last season was a white and black glowing one. That's the one I accidently dropped down the hole in shifting my gear. The red one didn't land me anything.

That's what I call "failing up!" Is the ice season gonna hold out till the KX Sports Show?
I believe it will. We’ll have a few days ice will be melting on top and probably form some slush, but next week looks like ice making temps again.
