Loved the first one because it had a life of a highschool student and how he never backed down after everything that had happened to him. But this movie just sucked

The line "don't give up, never give up, never back down" still inspires me today, with anything that i feel like i might fail at. After watching the first one, you got the courage to stand on your feet and face anything, not just fights. Can't top that with a sequel when a story is fully told already.
I don't understand all the hating on this movie. It actually had a decent plot, with Case's past haunting him all of the time, the thing with Tim's mother, Mike's father, Mike's and Zach's girlfriend, and generally the dynamic between the group wasn't bad. Max was great as well. Seeing the dork turn full psycho as time passed was also pretty believable. The fights delivered, there were a lot of great scenes (like Case vs the cops, the beatdown fights, etc). Sure, the acting could be better (especially with Tim), but all I see in the comments is people piling on to this movie just because they see other people doing it
The script was garbaje, they tried to abord so many storylines that they dont really get to fullfill none of them. Character development is just all over the place, none believeble. I like the idea of giving some kind of protagonism to multiple characters, but you need time to do that correctly and i think they don't acomplish that here.

Miki Miyazaki real mma fights suck to because they don’t actually use submissions and TKO like in the movies it looks like they hit them with one move and they either knocked out or they tried 🤷🤷
I think what the movie is projecting is pretty wrong. The kid was reacting because they bullied the fuck out of him. He was wrong in how he lashed out even at people who didn’t do anything to him, but the rest kept treating him like shit and then we’re supposed to cheer that they beat the fuck out of him in the end, it’s pretty wrong.

For me it's the writing of this movie, aside from Case's past, everything else was cringe as far as the writing goes. Fight scenes weren't bad tho
