completely get what you're coming from, making good points about the mass amount of side characters in this show (which they're downsizing for s4), especially in s2 and 3. but i disagree with downsizing their sons, into a son. i think having 2 sons, gives a balance to their family dynamic, with one (jordan) being powered (clark), and the other son (jon) not being powered (lois). it makes it where the plot with the sons, isn't solely focused on only superman stuff, but also gives lois some son time as well. and while i do believe the kids can be frustrated with each other during the show (which can make the show frustrating at times), its not like they hate each other at all, as they actually make amends, just as quickly. they felt like brothers to me. especially in s2 & 3, where jordan and jon actually improve, while jon being the more wholesome, and supportive brother. but i still got that vibe from s1 as well. so i disagree with the sons being an overall weakpoint.
Yeah Jonathan and Jordan definitely bring the show down without a doubt , and dude I highly recommend you give the show another shot especially Season 3 it's the best season of the show

Season 2 is really good you should watch it
s2 was a lil worse than s1 but s3 hits pretty hard and imo is the best 1 so far

2nd season isn't as good, but i do believe the sons actually improve there. and s3 was really good overall
