My personal choice is Bravia 3 because of the use of IPS panels, Flicker-Free with IPS panel for less eye fatigue and better Google OS 43", 55", 75" - IPS panels 50", 65", 85" - VA panels I don't do any games, just movies and sports. Thanks Steve, and God bless you!
My B3 is Awesome for any content the color accuracy and upscaling is Brilliant for a Cheap TV 📺 I tested all the low end Brands a lot in Depth and Sony just looks Smoother
Great video and was surprised how much brighter & more colourful the Samsung was for gaming, but I’ve got the Sony and I’m pretty happy with it. One question, what settings did you have on the Sony for watching football? Yours seems to pop a lot more than mine does when watching NFL, so I’m curious!
What TV's that are cheap , that are IPS or VA Panel's you have Tested/Noticed has the Best Motion and Judder Free ? That are Edge lite or Direct lit ? Do you have a list for us all ?
You can also tweak the settings to your liking weather you like it the way its on the Sony or the Samsung if you take the time to play with the settings it will be a bit of a headache but the choice is always yours unlike the dark ages of CRT 32 inch 300lbs TVs
So since the Bravia 3 is an 8-bit panel what is the q60d? And can one really tell the difference with different bit panels? It doesn't seem like easy information to find online for each TV model.
Pretty spot on. It's hard to go against Sony when it comes to TVs. I'm probably a bit biased because I've had bad luck with Samsung TVs and generally feel the quality is lacking for the price. In this "TV battle" I definitely felt Sony definitely had a better overall look when it came to movies and Samsung was better for gaming. You came to the same conclusion as well. Until they prove otherwise I just can't bet against a Sony TV.
@@TechSteve Thank you. I have a playstation 5 “HDR” in game mode is complicated to achieve a good image, and I tried a movie from the Sony pictures app in “4K”, the image is very dark and if I increase brightness it looks washed out, if I lower the blacks it looks dark again, my room is quite dark. Sometimes the brightness increases too much for moments or scenes.
Thanks Steve,,, This video is Perfect , it's about time someone did it this way,, 👏 with low end Model's,, B7 v B9 to see if there is any real big difference with what you just did
It is interesting how no one out there talks about how Local Dimming in regards to how it improves Motion 15% on the B7 and B9 and picture Contrast all at the same time obviously
@bungalowtomcat1 i’m trying to scale back on that stuff, the majority of people who watches my videos just want basic understanding in what to expect if they spend their money. Only a few tech guys like you would even comprehend what you’re talking about. Lol… personally i love the info..

I went with the Sony bc the 75" used IPS, whereas Samsung used VA, and i need a wide viewing angle for the room. And also the Sony was cheaper than Samsung.
Is it possible to adjust the settings on a Samsung to match the default movie colors of the Sony? I'm a huge fan of Samsung, but I have to admit that Sony's movie mode has a color tone I really prefer. It might sound silly, but I'm so psychologically tied to Samsung as a brand that I’d miss its logo and feel a bit off watching something else. I can't explain it well, but that's just how I feel-I am in deeply love with Samsung, can't cheat it with Sony or any other brand even it's hot.
Hello @Techsteve I was looking for the best budget tv to recommend to my friend for 500$ or so 50"-55" and 120hz native refresh rate hes gunna use it for gaming on a ps5 for the most part thanks!
the samsung is totally out of calibration, it's brighter even because use cold temperature the white indeed look bluish. Even in game color accuracy matters. I think Sony is better almost in every way expect for the game latency
The Sony has a noticeably warmer picture which works ok in movies not so much in gaming. Also if the Sony has an IPS panel as I read in other comments it would have poor contrast levels. Feel that with a little calibration the Samsung would be the better TV.
If you lower the brightness on Samsung and tweak the settings(warmer colour temperature) you will get picture close to the Sony. Or use different picture mode. If one picture mode is not good doesn't mean the TV is bad for movies. If you have hand and an eyes you can do it. There is no way darker Sony will show more details on the background.
Another proof that Qled is actually more of a marketing gimmick which a conventional led screen can easely surpass with top hard and software. Thank you Sony ❤!
@@samibouhadida5314 Sony Bravia 3 is using the Sony Triluminos tech which is the trademark for Sony's quantum dot technology. Its essentially a QLED. So maybe just read up a bit before disregarding a whole technology just because one TV is better than the other.
