so reaper queens now work like this: if you are level 150, you are at a host multiplier of 1.0x the level of your king gets calculated by queen level multiplied with host mulitplier plus the offspring XP you collected from killing stuff while being pregnant. that multiplier can go above 1.0x! i am not sure about how many levels 0.1x of the multi rn tho. also, they still eat meat. its just the baby looses a good amount of food every time it tries to attack. so by staying close to it, you can actually kill it.

@8:12 is the best spot to farm Reapers. If a low level one appears you can just jump over the ledge on the left and have the Reaper fall into the river below. Then just leave render distance and come back and a new one should spawn. I was able to farm level 150 reaper babies pretty easy.

All the recent rockwell fights I've seen, the biggest problem was dinos not attacking Rockwell. They just end up distracting the reapers while you go to town with a shotgun.
Good luck with Alpha Rockwell. I did it last night on Ps5. Even with a good imprinted Megalosaurus, good traits, and a really good ascendant saddle, his tentacles were doing 400+ damage a hit.
I am pretty sure Reaper eating speed is slow and when you couple it with the stamina drain it was having trying to bite you is why it looked as if it didn't eat. I am pretty positive they still eat meat.
I really liked the start of the ab series because I just don't have time to do a playthrough on my own, and it's my favorite ARK, but it's evident that Wildcard was rushed through this upgrade and didn't get allowance or just didn't try to think through many of the issues with the map. They seem to have introduced more bugs than there were previously, especially regarding Cosmos and Glidesuits, the AI problems, and lack of content in general. We've seen a lot of new problems, some of them severe. We were ALL hoping for a much better experience playing all the maps, but so far this map in particular has had MANY more issues and not really that much change compared to the Island and Scorched, the former getting a slight pass because its issues were mainly linked to launch and the game being unstable for months. It's ARK, it's great, your ideas and buildings are awesome, your taming tricks are fun to watch, but at the end of the day, I think we're a little disappointed by the lack of change they promised us. I wish Wildcard could get a dev team on bugfixing, but we know that Snail will continue to force them to grind money traps and recycled content, even using other people's content, until Snail collapses on itself and sells them to a sister company to keep the IP. I look forward to the overhaul mods like your new medieval series and maps like Rag just because they really are a different game and there's more stuff to see and learn. Also Rag is just fun as hell. I wish they'd have added a proper aberration section to that map, but it's great as it is. I'd like more vertical type maps.
Hopefully by the time there's enough maps to start up a new cluster they'll have fixed Abb to a point where you guys can have fun without worrying which bug is going to ruin your day first. Not that watching you struggle isn't fun just less so when it's actually the game's fault imo
m8, honestly... if you got a queen below threshold, stay mounted, pull out a gun. she will grab you off your mount. no need to hope for dismount to work, no need to pull out a shield and try shit, just let the drake tank until she grabs you. very simple, i can't believe this isn't well known, i don't see any youtuber doing it but it has worked since ASE

I had a bird named Skittles, he was a... vocal bird, he didn't really like me that much and he well.. unfortunately died due to medical issues, it was sad because he KNEW his death was coming, because he got slower and alot more clingy to even me, he just wanted attention and hugs before he finally died and we found him on the bottom of his cage dead. ALSO a bit of lore is baby reaper's attack you not because their rabid or something its because they're blind and deaf, so they literally don't know who they are attacking, additionally its why when he whistled the reaper passive it didn't stop trying to attack him, because he wasn't passive, he didn't hear the whistle telling him to be passive.
The Reaper Kings level now is based on a combination of the Queen and the Survivors. I dont know the math but at max ascension lvl you can get some scary Kings
The traits are not randomized but they are different if the queen is king slaying 1 you will get giant slaying 1 if the queen is vampire 1 you will get vampire 1(in my experience could be wrong but just what I think )
If you get to max player level you can actually get more than 75 levels. With more and more ascensions coming a 150 reaper could in theory end up popping pout like 240-250 instead of 224
When did they change the reaper trait characteristics? I got a 150 queen with vampiric 3 and all three of her offspring had the same trait. So the reaper randomization is new to me or it’s not true.
Ok I just got a Thyla saddle and it need 44,688 fiber 48048 metal ingots and 41312 hid how is all that supposed to fit in the smithy I kinda boasted the rates so that might be the reason
I tried killing babies and it did not work at all but killing mobs worked really easy. What i had a major problem with was her attacking and either missing or grabbing me and no impregnating me. Took 3 - 5 tries each time i did it. Ended up with 3 good reapers and 1 really bad one. Queen was 140 and babies came out as 190. I built a trap connected to my railroad line so i could load her up and take her for a ride, which did work. The red glow on them is almost impossible to see any more. The tail attack from the queen will give you torpor if it's a direct hit, even if you have the hazmat suit on. She doesn't really seem to heal unless she can submerge. You are level 106 your Queen is 145 and your baby is lvl 194, i was 107 and my queen was 140 a and the baby was 190 so the 5 levels on your queen gave you 4 bonus levels. So maybe a 150 queen would get YOU a 198? Good episode and for a name maybe Romulus which is the latest Alien movie title and also from Roman Mythology.
The reapers really didn’t get nerfed it’s more so an adjustment, they’re weaker than before when you’re lower level but stronger than before when you’re max level

I just recently finished that series and had quite a few coincidences like that. My 100 reaper day was when Axe got his a bit ago.

AB is the most linier map anyways, once you pass the finish line of defeating rockwell there isnt much of a reason to continue tbh

Last time I looked at the mod page for that Illuminating trait, it specifically noted that it doesn't work on Cosmo. I was pretty bummed about it.

@ I think it’s a good way to balance it, so they’re more so a later game tame rather than taming one lower level and having one of the strongest tames
