It made a lot of pokemon genuinely scary. Alphas are terrifying. Which is a great way to go about it since once you cath them you suddenly feel just that much scarier yourself. let's be honest, by the end of the game your pokemon team is likely strong enough to burn lumonise to the ground at the drop of a hat.
The game continues the tradition of giving your kids a bunch of stuff and then kicking out into the world filled with monsters that you can fight with and capture.
Yep. This is literally everyone's first playthrough in a nutshell. Also, Paras is definitely a bloody nightmare, from my, and many other peoples', experience with the game.

My first actual Alpha encounter was Snorlax, I saw the Rapidash but knew better. I somehow didn't even see the Snorlax until I was already around the corner and standing like 5ft from it lmao. Took off running by it and ended up swarmed by a bunch of Luxray
When I saw Rapidash I wanted to get close enough to look at it and see its level. I ended up using oran berries to distract it and sneak away. It never saw me, but man did it get CLOSE. Eventually I returned to it with now Samurott and two-hit it with vengeance. I even saved the clip to mark the occasion. Felt awesome

I think this is from a full video. There is black bars that appear and disappear and are inconsistent in size. Sometimes it’s full screen others it isn’t. This means he took parts of a full video and resized each clip to fit vertical video. My guess is that he released this while the full video is still being worked on.

Over 250 hours later and I can undoubtedly say this is the PLA experience. You really captured the literal hell-spawn that is Paras in this game, and Akari getting pounded by the alpha Rapidash brought back some painful memories! Phenomenal work as always and it was awesome to see a video of my favorite mainline Pokemon game, these keep getting better!

The odds aren’t actually much higher, it’s just that the game loads every Pokémon at once instead of the player needing to check each encounter one by one. Also the shiny sound makes them much more noticeable. Scarlet and Violet have the same seemingly boosted odds

I love how Paras is the Chihuahua of the Pokemon world. Small, will not win in a fight, but will still go after you like it's the strongest predator on the block.
Not really different Shiny odds per se; more so just more efficient Shiny-hunting methods available in that games. The odds stay the same according to the same variables as in other games, pretty much.

Not really different Shiny odds per se; more so just more efficient Shiny-hunting methods available in that games. The odds stay the same according to the same variables as in other games, pretty much.

I genuinely love paras as a pokemon so having them be so aggressive in the game was just hilarious to me.
