Oh yessss , wish Stefanie could think to make a book telling everything from Jacob’s POV. THAT would be amazing for us the fans and would be add to account balance lol she makes more money and we get new content.
Re-experiencing Twilight as an adult has made me realize this. He was just a 16 year old kid who got swooped into this chaotic mess, and sadly his feeling also got involved. It's a tragedy when you think about it.
In a way though nobody really had a choice in the way it played out. They were all children really.. (your emotional maturity is frozen at the time of transformation) so of course Edward is going to act like a 17 year old too and in his own interests, just as Jacob does. Even though he does resist and would genuinely prefer if Bella could have the life Jacob can give her. I think his actions and thoughts give him credit for his true age. You also have to factor in that falling in love as a vampire is not the same as a human, it’s much more permanent as stated in the book. Everything about them is unchanging so when something does change it doesn’t change back. None of them asked for the circumstances they had been dealt and none could really control the way it unfolded. I do feel bad for Jacob. Edward shouldn’t really exist and Bella & Jake’s story would’ve been wholesome and beautiful. But it wasn’t meant to be. Fate had other plans. Bella & Edward are twin flames. Bella and Jacob are soulmates.
@@EJJP46 this video and this comment are honestly just making me realize "damn this lore is really fucked up, author really tortured these characters"
Jacob was a 16 year old boy who went into werewolf puberty. At 41, PMS is still a horror show of emotion. Imagine being 16, going through puberty, and having your teen heightened emotions even more heightened. Jacob’s self control is really pretty commendable.
Agreed. The werewolves have every reason to not want vampires in their land. Its one thing to be involuntary transform into a huge wolf when the number of vampires increase but to not have the choice to choose someone to be their partner, no matter the age, is too much. Being a werewolf in the Twilight series is sad.
Worse if the one who shifts is a female (i.e. - Leah). Look the BS she was forced to accept with her change; and the males have the audacity to imply her bitterness is insufferable/unwarranted.
not to mention all the wolves being able to hear each others thoughts. imagine not being able to have ANY PRIVACY in your own brain! it sounds like a curse!
@madamefluffy4788 even worse when she indirectly led to the death of her dad by shifting. Since her dad had a heart attack upon seeing her change instead of her dad. And not only does Leah blame herself for it, but everyone around her treats her like a burden, which only makes those feelings infinitely worse.
I always remember Billy Black's conversation with Bella... it's heartbreaking to know that he wanted to protect his best friend's child, but she dismisses him as if she's already an adult, when she's not
Yes, I so agree. When Bella tells Edward that the Quileutes blamed them for her transformation, Edward only said that it was an interesting theory, he didn't give a shit. When really the presence of vampires in Forks causes them to transform into wolves. Edward supposedly doesn't want Bella to be around Jacob because wolves are aggressive and uncontrollable, so he didn't even take the time to understand them.
So true and yet the only ones who ever drew blood and harmed bella were the Cullens and other vampires. They know she lacks basic self preservation and watches her dwindle away into nothing over the years. Tbh Jacob has some troubling nice guy energy as well but he was never wrong with his assessment of Bella and the Cullens.
I can't help but feel sorry for Jacob and Leah. Jacob reminds me a lot of Spike from Buffy in the sense that they're both victims writer resentment and retaliation. Joss hated the actor who played Spike for standing up to him and calling him out for his misogyny, so he got back at him by making Spike more and more of an asshole. Whereas with Jacob he's just a victim of Meyer's racism, and the fact that she didn't like how people were shipping him and Bella instead of "her choice", so she turned him into a prick to make Edward look like the better man. (That's also the same reason why I've always been Team Jacob or Bella since I was a kid. Even back then, I always felt that there was something off with Jacob devolving into an asshole and that explains why. If it wasn't for that, Jacob would be by far the better choice.) The Cullens made his life a living hell. They all constantly hurl racist insults at him and them being in town made him able to transform into a monster and forever tethered to a demon spawn, who in the hands of a better writer would be a villain. Do I even have to explain Leah? I just wish that Jacob, Seth and Leah were able to run away from Forks, starting over elsewhere. They all deserve so much better. Eh, at least I can read fix it fics about that.
Huh, I didn't know that about Joss the as*hole hating Spikes actor James. That actually puts alot of pieces together about why the writing of his character went to trash. It never really made sense to me why they would go in that direction at all. James standing up to Joss is certainly believable based on everything I have ever heard about him. He was like one of the only male actors on that show to not have something problematic, terrible or just overall sh*tty come out about them in the entire time since he was on Buffy. James has always seemed like a nice guy to me.
The extremely funny thing is, even though Joss tried to ruin Spike , we all still liked him. That must have drove Joss absolutely nuts and I for one love it ❤!😂
everyone was against *that* episode, sarah and james literally begged not to do it but the writers didn't care. james was so devastated that he never did a similar scene in his career.
At first you would think that Jacob was overreacting with him thinking that the cullens were trying to ruin his life, but when you get older you start to relize that maybe he had a point.
Is the life of Natives truly like that? I'm not from the US, and in the age of women's rights, LGBT rights and so on and so forth, it blows my mind how the society can keep oppressing the whole population of natives like that, without anyone calling it out.😢😮
@OurFantasyIsland they were referring to over 300 years ago. No the natives are not constantly attacked today. I will point out the same people who think white people were so terrible and stole the land 300 years ago, instead of moving, they want open boarders so more people can come and steal the land.😂😂 then complain how evil white people were 300 years ago. World history is full of people conquering, taking land, Indians did it too. Indians fought for land, enslaved tribes. But it's only evil if your white. Racism at its core.
@@OurFantasyIsland it's still like This. In the us you can look it up native women are getting stolen murders almost more than black and white women at a alarming rate like theres a movement called missing murder and indigenous womens group. There's highways in reservations where specifically women especially native women are found murders or come up missing. I'm in MN in 24 and a native women they pass out flyers to native women because there was rumors of a serial killer only killing native women. This is in 2023 hell even 2024 they tried to change a law that was specifically made because native kids were getting swiped right off their front porches. Look it up called the 60s scoop. And how almost every non white person has something to say or acts different when they find out you're native. It's not to bad tho.😅 😅😅
Yes and worse too. Theres interviews of natives who were forcibly taken from their homes as children and put into boarding schools where they were abused in every way and stripped of their identity and their culture.@OurFantasyIsland
The parallel between Bella's dependency to Edward/The Cullens and drug addiction is >>> How can Jacob trust Bella is actually consenting to being turned when vampires are literal cocaine for humans ?
It honestly seems like the only reason that the Cullens have to hate the wolves is that the wolves don't want them hunting anyone/anything on their lands - period. (i.e. - the Cullens are entitled jerks). I also heard a rumor - back in Twilight's hay day - that the only reason Jacob's part of the story went belly up was because fans were rooting for Bella to end up with Jacob, as they saw him as the optimal boyfriend for her (rather than Meyer's perfect sparkly fictional boyfriend, Edward). So, Meyer deliberately turned Jacob (as well as his entire tribe) into what they are portrayed as - emotionally unstable, possessive control freaks who are incredibly quick to anger and can unintentionally hurt their loved ones if pushed too far (example - Sam and Emily) - all just to make Jacob far less appealing in the eyes of the readers/fans (same can be said about Charlie because he seemed like a decent father up until the events of Eclipse/Breaking Dawn). Not sure how valid that rumor was - but I could believe it.
Idk all fandom, but its a common practice in the romantacy and romance genre cause the autor make the rival too carismatic and that goles against the story they already have.
I heard about that too...😮💨 Meyers wrote a pretty solid horror story with grooming undertones, dependency, dead monsters roaming the earth for blood and it had good thematics as well, but the ultimate downfall of Twilight is her inability to see how unromantic all of this is. It's just awful and I wish the movies had addressed it.
@@idontknowwhattoputhere5434 Neither did I - I'm going by summaries of people who did read the books. I think he was an okay parent in the first two books. But by book three, he couldn't take care of himself worth beans. I think his worst offense was congratulating Jacob for making the moves on Bella (despite the fact she came home with a sprained wrist after punching Jacob for making that same move).
@idontknowwhattoputhere5434 I envy you. It pained me as a prolific reader and writer to read them. They're terribly written, and I was clearly not the target audience. Once I start something, I must see it through, unfortunately.💀
Completely agree. Fr. The book said she had a vision during the kiss of sitting next to Jacob. Gray haired and surrounded by grandchildren so she knew. This was on point. Loved the breakdown.
Oh, man, Jacob got the raw end. All of the wolves did, but particularly Jacob. Jacob, as the grandson of the chief, the blood right forced onto him, and the way his pure heart could not let Bella go, even though she was already dead. Jacob, bless him, was truly the underdog, and rightfully dislikes the Cullens, as well as being the good guy that isn't ticked that Bella betrays him.
I’m loving the back to back in support of Jacob uploads lately, I always feel like I was only one of the few people who gave Jacob grace in the saga because everyone always seem to harp on his small mistakes rather then looking at it from his pov, mind you despite his body structure and physique he’s still a 16 year old kid that this happened to his entire life is changed up side down and he’s out into these life altering situations with that he has to maneuver through with out being fully mature to handle it all. I also agree with you on the rhetoric that the Cullens and Bella were both selfish and did not in fact care about other humans lives, because during BDpt2 when they had to call on witnesses I thought it was very selfish and kinda messed up how Jacob had to change his views on willingly letting more vampires in the area and how could affect other pack members lives on top of the fact that the Cullens still associated with other vampires that still drank human blood which I feel the whole imprint thing messed that point of Jacobs character up because he was never accepting of something as inhumane like that but because it was for renesme the circumstances changed and I didn’t like that.
The imprinting thing to me as a whole is just shitty i mean Leah loved Sam but Sam IMPRINTED on Emily, Quil IMPRINTED on a THREE year old, Paul IMPRINTED on one of Jacob's sisters, and Jacob loved Bella but IMPRINTED on Bella and Edwards baby.... And there a possible "rule" that female wolves i.e.Leah can't imprint at least .. in cannon so in cannon Leah probably dies alone which is cruel, unfair, and gross.... I hate the whole imprinting thing cause two times its used in a seriously gross and disturbing way via Quil imprinting on a 3 year old toddler and Jacob imprinting on Renesmee WHILE she was a NEWBORN BABY
Everyone says, nowadays, that Jacob was made out to be asshole on purpose by Meyer because more fans liked Jacob over Edward, I am starting to suspect that imprinting on a baby was done on purpose....
I always felt this story had lowkey racist undertones in that the werewolves are ALL Native Americans and were SIGNIFICANTLY WEAKER than the White vampires to the point it made no sense how they’re even considered formidable adversaries. The Imprinting thing also makes them look SOOOOO bad. Sam leaves Leah for her cousin and Jacob imprints on a BABY. But vampires love only one person and they love each other for forever and ever. Like, I remember Rosalie saying she found Emmett and knew he was her soul mate, and they’ve been happily married ever since, like HOW?! Bella literally says to Jacob in the books, that vampires are way stronger than them. And I always found the werewolves to be WAY more interesting than the boring ass Cullens and that, amongst a plethora of other reasons, is why I could never really get into it
Quil imprinted on a 3 year old as well... It's shown in a blink and you miss it moment in BD Part 1 but in the BD book during Jacob's part Jacob talks about... Also I think Stephanie made a "rule" that only male wolves imprint meaning Leah will probably die alone
@ omg yes! I totally forgot about that Quill incident. I always felt Jacob and Leah’s chapters in the 3rd book are WAY more interesting and emotional than ANY Bella chapters. And why doesn’t Leah get imprinted on by someone else like Jacob maybe? Does she not deserve love too? Jacob only likes Bella because he’s essentially attached to her ovaries is fuggin weird.
I don't like how werewolfs ended up serving to vampires 👎🏻 In this story native people are viewed as less worthy even though they didn't do any harm (unlike Cullens) and even protect other people
I despised Bella so hard for constantly defending the Cullens whenever Jake or any of the wolves insulted them but she didn’t budge an inch whenever Alice or Edward did. Not just for this reason alone, but for the whole series worth, Bella is seriously the worst female protagonist ever written.
Also...the screaming 😱 Holy fuck! I'd want nothing to do with a guy who affected me so much I would wake up screaming at full volume scaring the shit out of my dad.
He didn't handle it the best but he was 16 going through way too much and rightfully scared. He had some red flag moments but he was actually a child not 100+ it's weird people makes excuses for the vamps and not wolves/Jake.
I never read the books, and the way it was explained in the movies didn’t really get into the nitty gritty of what the cullins/their presence did to their tribe and I never really got the animosity between the two in the first place, hearing it described, I must agree it is horrifying from Jacob’s pov
I'm obsessed with this scholarly examination of Team Jacob. Preteen me just thought he was hotter and thought Edward being old was weird. Glad my gut feeling has aged like wine.
Yet another perfect upload absolutely love it and yeah, when you first watched twilight and I am a huge fan still it’s all romanticize and oh Edward just loves Bella and oh my God Carlisle is so hot but then you’re right when you go back and think about it Jacob really got screwed over And then to have them fall in love with a baby on top of everything. Thanks for the upload made my morning.
I think we all were a little bedazzled by twilight the first time, and as someone who was team Jacob I felt so bad for him, they could have at least given him someone his age to fall for or imprint on, though with how he felt abt imprinting, a romance that slowly build would have been better.
Jacob was my favorite character back when I was a fan of the series. I read the books a very long time ago (like nearly 20 years ago, when it first came out in my country) and never read the last one because I’d read some spoilers and everything seemed just ridiculous and very disappointing, but I still have fond memories about the series and Jacob was definitely my fave. I remember being unsure about the second book because I didn’t know if I would enjoy reading a book about mostly him and it ended up being a blast.
THANK YOU! Piss me off so much the fact that with Bella or without her in the story, Jacob's reasons to hate Edward and the Cullens are value. He was a teenage who became a werewolf overnight and had to carry this mission to protect people, he never ask for that. His story is more sad of all, and Stephanie Meyer no happy enough makes this imprinting thing. HE DESERVED BETTER.
She rewrote Wurthering Heights with Native Americans and fantasy elements. This not a love story, it is a tragedy from every character's POV. Rosalie and Emmet are the least affected, in my opinion.
After reading every book, watching every movie and watching all these videos: Not on Team Edward because he’s manipulative, hypocritical, and selfish. He treats Bella’s mental health horribly Not on Team Jacob because he sexually assaulted Bella like that would make her like him. He is desperate and immature when he’s fighting over Bella like a game of tug-of-war I dislike Bella she is annoying, naive, and cruel to Edward and Jacob. She keeps the love triangle going by her selfishness of choosing to keep Jacob while being with Edward and guilt-tripping Jacob to stay which keeps hurting them all. This series man… I swear 😂
Well... To be a little fair, for the most part Edward tries to treat Jacob in a civil manner. He doesn't prevent Jacob from passing on a message from the tribe in the first book (but he's not happy about it), he openly thanks Jacob for being there for Bella and the second one, he does ease up once he sees that endanger herself by going to see Jacob and even drives her there with a phone and allows Jacob to keep Bella warm, he even offers hospitality when Jacob is trying to protect Bella in the fourth book and looks at him as a family member. That's not to say that the cullens are innocent! But they did genuinely think that the wolves had died out with Ephraim black. Every time after that they can be blamed for changing these kids into wolves. They should have took Bella and left if they were going to come back at all. Just long enough to get Bella and leave
In the Cinema Therapy episodes of this franchise they mention that Bella doesn’t seem to have a sense of self in the movies. All she is and all she lives for is Edward, there really isn’t anything to her. And when he leaves, she’s just a shell. Which in itself is pretty sad. :(
I’ll always love Twilight but man, the whole world and its characters could’ve been so much more in the hands of a different writer. Sometimes I wish someone could rewrite the series if it weren’t for the obvious problem of that being plagiarism lol
When I first read the books, I was 11. I always preferred Jacob, never even liked Edward (yes, I'm proud of it to this day lol). At the end I didn't really feel all that bad for him, because he got Renesmee. Now, as an adult, I can't even comprehend how Meyer could've thought it was a good idea... Anyway, I always disliked Leah, I just found her annoying. Now I understand that she was the only one somewhat normal in the whole saga 😵💫 Edit: also Jared (who imprinted on Kim) was the only lucky one. They were the same age and she already had a crush on him
We should not hate anyone for any reason. ! Mainly because we have to feel good about ourselves and half of it is quite soul-destroying, we can also very easily think of revenge and the psychological war on both sides is endless. We can only feel anger for the sins, but not for the people who committed them, but even this anger is good not to last too long. Always remember that you yourself can wrong or harm others and even yourself , even unintentionally. Then what will you do? Will you hate yourself or think you are incapable of doing or even thinking anything bad? Anyone can fall into any sin.
Well, Stephanie Meyer is Mormon...... and I'm a Team Edward girl, but I wanted to be able to root for Jacob... Maybe if I read the series now, as an older chick, for the fifth time, I would change my mind... Idk
I wrote a book years ago as a teen, ppl could comment on each chapter as I wrote it and quickly learned that some was shipping main with another guy. I didn’t make him a asshole, he’s actually still ppl fave character and mine, I just made it abundantly clear as I thought I had from the start that they see each other as siblings, but I also made the love interest a little scared that there may be something cause clearly I somehow written it as there could be so why not show it through the characters seeing it too? 😂 now I’m editing it and I can actually see why😅 but they still chosen siblings
Jacob was a victim of abuse and you cant change my mind as a victim of abuse. Honestly i felt that even though jacob becoming an asshole was fucked i totally understood. His best friend/the girl he likes is in a toxic relationship that literally almost gets her killed every few months and even though he could save her he cant. He cant because even though she knows theyre bad she feels worse would happen without them. Jacob has proved to be the better, safer option by literally saving her life from situations shes put in by the cullens and do they care? No cause if they did they wouldnt leave her so fucking vulnerable all the time. They wont even accept jacob saving her as a good thing because ew stinky dog man. 90% of the vampires the cullens attract to forks have to be taken care by the wolves most of which,as we now know, are probably kids/teens cause the cullens think running away till the problem disappears is gonna work. Bella actively telling jacob that she loves him but cant live without someone who'd abandon her in the woods after a breakup was definitely the nail in the coffin.
You know that I love all of your uploads. This is one of my favorites this and consent King. My question is being a twilight fan do you think if I watch sorry read midnight Sun that it will change my mind I haven’t read it yet. I haven’t read any of the books. I’ve only seen the movies so you know way more than I do. I’m really thinking about reading it, but I want your opinion first thank you. You’re the best.
I would have loved the story so much more if she'd either: A) ended up with Jake or someone on the Rez, or B) at the very least ended up defending the Quileutte tribe from the Cullens.
I don’t blame the Cullens (trust they are to blame for a lot) but I blame Bella. Bella playing on Jacob’s emotions. Eclipse was heartbreaking! Bella is the bad guy in this! The Cullens are the villains in the story, but Bella is the evil one! Jacob was willing to dead get hurt (Eclipse) for a woman that ONLY USED YOU FOR ENTERTAINMENT! Makes me sick! PS: I use to me obsessed with these movies in my teen years, now in my early 30s! It was toxic AF!
bella wanted them to isn’t a good reason because they have all the power, abandoned bella as it was convenient for them, and the whims of their teenage pet aren’t good enough reason to do that. nor is she the reason they moved to forks in the first place. by the time jacob tells charlie most of the damage has been done and that isn’t his fault because he’s bound to renasberry at that point, so he can’t prioritize himself or his tribe even if he wanted to! also even though jacob phased in front of charlie for all of their benefits, that still didn’t mean they had to stay.
@corinnieeeee awesome! I've tried that they have all the power argument when it comes to when Eddy monster left Bella in the woods and could have just broken up with her in the house. I also say If he planned to leave after the attack from James. Why didn't he just leave then. He didn't need to be in the hospital! Just leave.
I honestly have to say I do not like Bella and twilight I don’t like Edward I don’t like any of the vampires in twilight. I side with the werewolves and Jacob way more. Because the Cullens have no idea how much hurt and pain they cause whether it’s intentional or not their presence bring nothing but pain, misery, and destruction. Bella is one of the few victims that fell to them without dying, but technically she does die, but she comes back as a vampire and she really doesn’t have no idea how much hurt she gives Jacob even though people around her know that she is conflicted and that she does love him But she can’t bring herself to cut him off for good because he represents an old part of herself as well. And when he finds out about them getting married, she doesn’t allow him to vent his anger the way he should and manipulates him into kissing her knowing that she’s in a relationship with Edward. His reasoning for hating them and hating Edward is fully justified. I would say the best revenge is if Jacob cut Bella off, he married someone and chooses the pack over her.
I don't know - As I understand it, it seems like there is some inherent rivalry between Vampires/werewolves in the same way there is often described between elves/dwarves. It seems to be less about being elitist, and more about hating the 'rival' for ridiculous reasons. So between Jacob and Edward, it was most likely that side, as well as 'competing' for the same girl that was the main reason. The vampires chose that place as a 'refuge' (less sun), and had to move around every few years or so. Also a good place for a 'vegan' vampire - at least that is what the book said, as far as I remember. Therefore, when they arrived, they may not have known about the wolf gene until it was 'too late' and had been activated. It wouldn't make sense to intentionally settle in hostile territory, even if 10 years is not much for a vampire. By the end, they do also seem to make peace with each other, and they 'unite' to push out the vampires who wanted to harm. So yes, their presence did cause some bad things to happen. But also lead to good things.
There are parts of this story that I loved particularly her relationship with Jacob, but I dislike her relationship dynamic with Edward and Cullens. I even liked her personality at the beginning, but then she meets Edward and then her level-headedness and self-respect vanish completely. And the problem with is that it had been painted as a love story. I wanted her relationship with Jacob to go further and I just feel like it was a missed opportunity by the author. I am very concerned about the author's views on what love is or looks like. So many instances of people pushing their wants on Bella and treating her like a child. Who the heck is dreaming of Edward as the ideal boyfriend, he is a controlling, egotistical creep.
I'm sure this isn't the appropriate place to say this, but it was nice signing off with you last night. It felt right that it was you who ended it all.
The whole imprinting on a baby thing was so weird to me. I think was 18 or 19 when that book first came out and I remember the description of it so vividly and it still makes me feel disgusted. She really didnt need to do that to Jacob. All of her other characters who had that type of connection were teenagers and adults atleast but she made him imprint on a new born just 🤢🤢🤢🤢
This actually makes the Cullens sound like real vampires. Like, MTV vampires but now at the end of the day they’re still growing their horde of ghouls/thralls whatevs
I use to love twilight when I was in middle school read all the books 3 times etc but as I’ve gotten older stuff is starting to make a lot more sense. I NEVER looked at it this way :o
I love Jacob I think he is one of the best characters in the series and a lot of what he says about the Colin’s is true and I was I was like you know what dude you deserve better than Bella you always have. I love his point of you, chapters in breaking dawn, and I would love to see an alternate version of the story where Bella ends up with Jacob instead of Edward.
Nah. Regardless, Jacob assaulted Bella and gaslighted her etc. He acted like an incel. He's very rapey plus he printed on a child and is basically going to groom her. Ugh.
Well, let me explain. He became a creature that he didn't want to, his emotion become altered and he can't control his emotion, he said to Bella to stay away since he didn't want to stay near a vampire and she really wanted to be near him even without his consent. Plus the imprinting isn't a choice, if Reneesme will want to do a thing he will do that and she suck his blood because she doesn't want to eat human food.
I never read the books but when people explain these scenes to me I can't help but wonder if Charlie and Jacob think Edward sa'd Bella. The behavior fits. We as the audience know that he didnt but that doesnt negate their povs.
Hold up. Edward hates Jacob for no reason at all. Okay, Jake and Bella already have history of being friends. Billy and Charlie are best friends, so naturally Charlie favors Jacob. I mean, it doesn't help that whenever his daughter is around Edward she somehow gets seriously injuried. Seriously, how has no one questuoned if she was in an abusive relationship. Edward and his family leaves, believing it was best for Bella. Jake ends up being what Bella needed. Edward envies Jacob because of his mortality and other things. On top of that, Jacob starts to develop romantic feelings for Bella. What makes it worse is that Edward knows whatever sick thoughts and fantasies Jacob might have. Bella is all buddy buddy and teeters on returning those romantic feelings. Jacob even kisses her More than Once! If my significant other began hanging out with someone I knew has feelings for them and was actively trying to break us up, Id hate them too.
The only reason I was never team Jacob is because ultimately is not what Bella herself wants. I feel bad for him and I hated his ending. I think, if a wolf needed to be with Rapture (and it didn’t) it should have been Seth. He was the one with the better relationship with the Cullen, none of the creepy romantic undertones towards Bella and he was younger. I think I would have like Jacob reject the imprinting, the same way he does for Sam’s control. After seeing his best friend choosing to die for her love, after seeing the hurt that Sam and Leah suffered, I just feel that he would want to choose who he spends his life with. Personally I would have like for that person to be Leah, but really anyone was better than Ranunculus..
The story from Jacob's POV is probably the scariest, most sad and horrifying story I've ever heard!
Would love to read it from his perspective.

Him and Leah should have got out of doge when they had the chance, and took Seth with them for good measure.
Agreed. The werewolves have every reason to not want vampires in their land. Its one thing to be involuntary transform into a huge wolf when the number of vampires increase but to not have the choice to choose someone to be their partner, no matter the age, is too much. Being a werewolf in the Twilight series is sad.
My thoughts exactly. I don't blame them for hating the Cullens. I would too if I was in their situation.
@@sorcerersapprenticeTrue, as a grown-up I now get why Leah is angry with them. She has every right to.

Jacob's story is the day to day life story of native's. They get invaded and then got called monsters for defending and protecting themselves
Yup, called monsters by the ACTUAL invasive and apathetic monsters. Projection at its finest.
The parallel between Bella's dependency to Edward/The Cullens and drug addiction is >>>
How can Jacob trust Bella is actually consenting to being turned when vampires are literal cocaine for humans ?
Yes! I was just talking to my mom about this , EDWARD SAYS IT HIMSELF😭
Ha happened with Charlie? I never read the books
@@goldenshoelaces Now I'm curious. What would happen if he did take on the Alpha role?
Girl I ain’t ever forgiving you for making me this obsessed-your videos are TOP TIER.
you are so sweet thank you!!!! 💓
I feel sorry for Leah

The way Meyers did Jacob so dirty ruined the series for me. I was team Jacob all the way, and I was so annoyed by the end of the fourth book.
Say it louder for the people in the back!!!!
I agree with most of this! Quite frankly, I blame the perception of Jacob on his blatant character assassination in both the films and books.
Vampires: stinky, mongrels 🤢
Werewolves: You turned our kids into werewolves and trespassed on our land!
Bella not willing to stand by Jacob a bit more is kind of disgusting, racism is supposed to be a turn off
Also...the screaming 😱 Holy fuck! I'd want nothing to do with a guy who affected me so much I would wake up screaming at full volume scaring the shit out of my dad.
He was a 16 year old indigenous child.
jacob they can never make me hate you
When you realize the author's Mormon, a lot makes sense. I mean, the vampires are racist immortal colonizers
He didn't handle it the best but he was 16 going through way too much and rightfully scared. He had some red flag moments but he was actually a child not 100+ it's weird people makes excuses for the vamps and not wolves/Jake.

That, my friends, is why, as I've come to grow up, I turned from Team Edward to Team Werewolves. Team Jacob
I never read the books, and the way it was explained in the movies didn’t really get into the nitty gritty of what the cullins/their presence did to their tribe and I never really got the animosity between the two in the first place, hearing it described, I must agree it is horrifying from Jacob’s pov
Agreed. Plus I think Bella was dazzled too.
Part of a vampire's gifts is enthralling their prey; so it would make sense that was the same case with Bella.
I'm curious to how they'll go about twilight with the remake, I hope they rewrite the story somewhat
@@firefly8589 If there is a remake, then my hope is for the werewolves to be treated with respect and dignity, and to get rid of the imprinting.

Twilight would be way better if it was written as a horror story. Exact same plot points, different tone, and it would be so much more interesting.
I remember he described his pain in the book as someone putting lemon juice in his paper cuts lol so sad
I have always said that I can completely understand that allure of being seduced by a vampire, but I'd always choose Jacob over Edward anyday
I think we all were a little bedazzled by twilight the first time, and as someone who was team Jacob I felt so bad for him, they could have at least given him someone his age to fall for or imprint on, though with how he felt abt imprinting, a romance that slowly build would have been better.
aww well thank you so very much for watching & for this kind comment!!! 💓
thank you so much! 💓
Spitting facts, this is going into my history folder
Oh my! I saw some of these points before while reading, but having them all summarised and exposed was absolutely mindblowing.
After reading every book, watching every movie and watching all these videos:
Not on Team Edward because he’s manipulative, hypocritical, and selfish. He treats Bella’s mental health horribly
Not on Team Jacob because he sexually assaulted Bella like that would make her like him. He is desperate and immature when he’s fighting over Bella like a game of tug-of-war
I dislike Bella she is annoying, naive, and cruel to Edward and Jacob. She keeps the love triangle going by her selfishness of choosing to keep Jacob while being with Edward and guilt-tripping Jacob to stay which keeps hurting them all.
This series man… I swear 😂
Love your videos! Nice realistic perspective on the movies!
thank you so much! 💓
Team Jacob DESERVES BETTER THAN ANY OF THEM
I watched your TikTok live until the very end! I'm in CA and could watch you still but couldn't comment or get into the live. love your videos!
So from Jacob's perspective, this is basically Nosferatu
Thanks for the vid! Solid points❤. I would have wanted the imprint to fade and for Jacob to remain an uncle if he wanted to.
I only feel sorry for Leah, Jacob should have stayed the hell away from Bella once she married Edward. His fate is the worst, though.
Now I understand that she was the only one somewhat normal in the whole saga 😵💫
Edit: also Jared (who imprinted on Kim) was the only lucky one.
Idk
As someone who did go back to twilight years later, I would recommend, it's like going into the story with new eyes
Damn, I'm seriously gonna write a twilight like book, horror or thriller edition!
Also, I really hope her next video is about Carlisle!
This is making me wanna reread New Moon because ughhhh the Jake feels 😭
So where is the abuse in all of this?
What would you say to those who say, "they stayed because Bella wanted them to." Or "Jacob made them stay by telling Charlie."
bella wanted them to isn’t a good reason because they have all the power, abandoned bella as it was convenient for them, and the whims of their teenage pet aren’t good enough reason to do that. nor is she the reason they moved to forks in the first place. by the time jacob tells charlie most of the damage has been done and that isn’t his fault because he’s bound to renasberry at that point, so he can’t prioritize himself or his tribe even if he wanted to! also even though jacob phased in front of charlie for all of their benefits, that still didn’t mean they had to stay.
Vampires are representative of Narcissists in literature quite often! So this tracks!
The whole imprinting on a baby thing was so weird to me. I think was 18 or 19 when that book first came out and I remember the description of it so vividly and it still makes me feel disgusted. She really didnt need to do that to Jacob. All of her other characters who had that type of connection were teenagers and adults atleast but she made him imprint on a new born just 🤢🤢🤢🤢
THIS is the reason I was team Jacob till rob baby was born. After that I was like this is so f-ed up.

Didn't they almost get the Shifters killed by the Volturi because they thought they were werewolves, too?
This is one of thos stories where I can't separate the work from the author, in every questionable thing I see Stephenie Meyer.
Imprinting is on Stephanie, she invented this creepy "imprinting on a child" stuff
I never read the books but when people explain these scenes to me I can't help but wonder if Charlie and Jacob think Edward sa'd Bella. The behavior fits. We as the audience know that he didnt but that doesnt negate their povs.
Well done. Your video was excellent and well explained.
thank you soooooo much! 💕
I’ll be honest, I don’t see it as racism, but the vampires were always the problem.
