Man I freaking love the Wii U menu. Folders, the whole walawala plaza made it feel alive, and the menu made it feel like a home. The Switch menu is an embassament compared to the Wii U.
The Wii U is the most underrated Nintendo console ever. Not only was there great games and an amazing hub as he said it, You could play wii games on there easily.
I really don't understand why it was hated! I made so many good memories playing it and I really wish the switch kept some of the charm the Wii u had. 😢
I hope that the next Nintendo console will bring back some of the good features from previous Nintendo consoles Such as the music for Home menu and Eshop, Miiverse, Backwards Compatibility, Themes, Virtual Console and Netflix

Nintendo DID put care in the WIIU because it wasn’t selling well. The reason why the Switch home menu feels rushed is probably because of the huge loss of money the company dealt with and needed it to be a success or they’d be in a lot of trouble
Never had a Wii U or a wii I just had a Nintendo DS and DS lite but I really loved the background music they had in those home screens too it made it feel so relaxing to browse for the next thing to do on there
Switch should make a custom theme for each special edition console that can only be used for that specific console. That’ll make buying them a little more worth it imo

The only thing i like about switch menu are the sounds, and my favorite is the eShop loading sound. This sound is the last bit of Wii U/3DS era.
