Finally somebody posted from this show. My fathers Place Roslyn NY. I was there. Not many people in the audience. Me and 4 friends went to this. He played at the Ritz NYC not long after this and again I was there and not many people. If I remember it was Morris Pert and Pierre Moerlen drums and percussion. The stage at My Fathers Place was so small and they had some much gear packed onto it. Two drum kits and assortment of percussion stuff. Both Pert and Pierre were classically trained.
Very cool to come across this recording. I was at the Ritz Theatre, NYC on April 18, 1982 (my birthday!). I still remember how much I enjoyed the show.
@@josephmarkey9096 If you have a link to an official announcement by Oldfield, please share it. I know he said after performing at the Olympics he said he didn't want to perform live anymore, but he did make a couple of albums.
@@nrsynth8945 Yes, we know that. The point is, he has never, ever used his middle initial professionally. So it's just bizarre that this uploader always refers to him as "Mike G. Oldfield" when nobody else, including the man himself, ever has or does. I can only assume it's some on-the-spectrum thing.
Mike Oldfield für mich der Beste Musiker aller Zeiten. Ein Genie.

Why do you insist on referring to him as "Mike G. Oldfield"? He's never, ever used his middle initial professionally.
Trust me, I have a reason for that... but sorry man , it's not your business!
His full name is Michael Gordon Oldfield
