I saw him live 1982/83/84/92/93 and 99. This is extraordinary in its's Raw form. It tells me a lot more about his personality than most interviews. Playful and mischievous for a start. This was a great band.
I am glad you were pleased. I could tell from the interviewer's appearance that he was well known, as he had participated in Paul McCartney Wings' song Rockestra.
It must be one of the most awkward interviews I have ever seen. On the other hand, it's a perfect hybrid of austrian humour (clumsy, uncomfortable, a thousand grains of salt) and british humour (banter as a polite way to answer their way out - not too obviously taking the piss of the interviewer, but not taking the otherwise outrageous questions completely seriously)
Fascinating to see this candid stuff. Shame about the interviewer, with such terrible questions - really excruciating at times. Still appreciate the upload. They were extremely patient having to put up with all that after a show!
... exactly what I felt watching this: on the one hand really rare backstage footage of this tour / this particular band - I LOVE IT !!!!! 🤩 , on the other hand such a clumsy austrian guy asking that embarrassing questions (especially to the band members)... OMG 🤦♂ (sorry for my poor English - hello from Germany)
Thank you for this upload.I knew an edited version of this interview. I was surprised to see it in its entirety. ¿Can you tell me if you took it from a source where I can check if there are more videos of this kind about Oldfield? Thank you.
Thank you very much for these deep insights. "After the Live" ... Performance at? Was this interview recorded in Austria or rather in any Mediterranean setting?
Thank you for uploading this video. Little by little visual and sound documents of Mike Oldfield are appearing.
Thank you for your comment.
I personally like this lineup the best because of the funny parts and the friendly atmosphere among the members.

Thanks for your comment. Of course it is fine. It is very important for us to touch many Mike Oldfield fans and we hope the fans enjoy the show.

THE MIKE OLDFIELD GROUP.
THE BEST.....! ! !
Great to see Morris in an old interview.
I am glad you were pleased.

@@bcrichbass1987 He is one of my favourite percussionists next to Jamie Muir.
They are all very patient and kind because after a show they probably were tired and just wanted to have a good meal together or to rest.

❤❤❤❤❤❤
I'd love to see the band after they did Knebworth in 1980, especially Pierre Moerlen and co, (Who was the drummer, percussionist of Mikes choice!)
Great to see Mike but that interviewer was just horrendous, so bad..
100%, so bad. You could see Mike cringing a bit at points trying to hold it together.
Hi! Is there any chance to watch the concert in Vienna? Thank you.
23:47 Maggie's facial expression is priceless :D

Was it very hot there?
Mike’s still under 30 here!!!
It's the first time I've seen that Mike smoked (whatever). 😎
He does that in the “art in heaven” documentary as well
