I reserved a camping spot for September 2024. I have a 2000 XJ 4 inch lift 31 inch General Grabber All Terrains. Spartan locker in the rear. Is that enough for the green trail?
You will be fine with the green trail. There is a trail off to the right that is a big loop and you could do that also. We live nearby and love playing there.
Nice video, I’m in NYC and would love to overland with you guys in the future. I drive a Defender 130 and a Defender 90 both with the 200tdi engine. I’m in the middle of upgrading some components on my 130.
Great videos! I look forward to watching them. Quick question - I think I saw in one video you were running a diesel heater? If so, how do you like it? Looking for heating ideas for winter camping. How did you set it up?
Great video! I'm headed to this trail at the end of the month with the fam since we'll be in the area, so it's great to get a look at what it'll be like. I'm thinking we'll stick to the greens mostly, but I'm tempted to do the black loop since that's what's on the badge. No lift, but we've got lockers, some skid plates, and a winch so I figure we can make it, but I'll turn around before we break anything. It seems like some maps are conflicting on which direction the trails are, which way did you go?
Greens are two directional. Blacks generally go counter clockwise. Without a lift I’d stay off the first few black trails but the one on the south side heading back was manageable with good lines. I did a fair amount of repainting under my Jeep when I got home I run a 2.5” lift 35” tires. Have fun and be safe!
Good video, nice trail, love the action. 99% off roaders are afraid of success, they let off when momentum is working.. Never gets old to see. JLU setup needs worked on.. That JLU is way too heavy, lacks off road sway bars, and is super stiff in the rear. Which hinders articulation in the rear and greatly effects the front. The suspension is working against you. Tires lifting or without weight on them means no traction. And for heavens sake replace those steps with proper sliders, they're nothing but a hazard and reduce clearance. Proper tires would make a difference as well. That yellow cherokee is super interesting, bravo to him. The rest of the vehicles need help.
It's a 1.9L TDI from a 2001 Jetta, adapted to the Jeep AX15 5 speed manual transmission. It's also got a crawl box and some other goodies...check it out on @dirtroadtherapy channel if you want more!
@@DarksideOffRoad Just building my 22 Rubicon now. 315/70s, same LOD rock sliders, ARB diff covers, and a Clayton 1.5" lift. Waiting for a bit more money in the bank for skid plates and steering. Wondering what skids you went with. I'm looking Metalcloak, and Terraflex drag link and tie rod. Thoughts?
@@DarksideOffRoad Impressive. Crawler Ridge, Barney Rubble and Jericho (Black) could have done some real damage if you came down wrong on a boulder. I'm in Northern NJ and always up for a good trail ride and overland adventure.
Some say repairs, others say upgrade opportunities 😅 Fortunately for me through 5 badges I’ve only had to cut off a useless plastic stabilizer sleeve. 👌 Thanks for watching.
@@DarksideOffRoad I’d love to go out wheeling with you some day I’m in the middle of building a Comanche i live in pa so hopefully I can go to a meet up in the summer
This trail looks like so much fun! lol tight, but fun...
Yeah a Gladiator would’ve had some moments 😅
Another Great Adventure. Those trail look awesome. I'm not sure if I'm ready for that yet. Love your content. Thanks.
😅 Thanks for watching!
Man, I hope I get to hit that trail one day!!!
It’s so much fun. The state park is amazing. Cabins and campsites available. 50 miles of ATV trails there as well.

Absolutely. Could play on the Blues too most likely.

@nhingy
Cool I switched from camping to top notch inn. 19 to 22nd of September
@nhingy how accessible are the Green Trails? I hear mixed things and wanted to take a nearly stock JLU on an easy maiden voyage.
What size lift and tires were you on here? Thinking about hitting that trail someday and want to be prepared. I'm on 37's and a 3.75' lift.
I have a 2.5” with 35s 👌

Thanks! Yeah I have a 5kwh Vevor diesel heater. I mounted it to a tire step, plug it into my Bluetti, and run the vent through my window.

Do they let sxs's on this trail?
I've been through jericho with the RZR but would to hit more trails like this. Also where is the trail head for this?
I don’t believe so, but I’m not 100% sure. They do have a network of ATV/SXS/snowmobile network of trails (50+ miles) also connected to this though.
Thank you.
Yeah I've been up on some of those trails

Pretty sure I saw you driving around Hamburg today
Yep! 👋
Whats the yellow Cherokee got in it for a motor?
I think it's a VW Diesel swap, but Jon could chime in better if he sees this.

Hey there. Check out my rig walk around video from Aug 2021 for specifics, but it’s a 2.5” lift and 35s.
