The first car was actually two step... all two step is a second rev limiter under 2mph...

@That 540i M Sport that is completely incorrect. Your first “step” is a rev limiter right at your launch sweet spot that won’t let u rev past it. Usually set at 1 or 2 mph. Once clutch is dropped the ecu disables the first “step” allowing you to rev past it until your second “step” which would be your rev limiter.
