I have been on this very flight several times over the last 25 years or so. The most recent time was in November 2018. I believe it was operated by the 747-200 the first couple times I was on it.
I'm having withdraws from not seeing your live streams! Lol! Love watching this clip. The engines in this 747-8 is so much quieter then the 747-200 that I have flown on so many years ago. I hope that you are enjoying your vacation. Can't wait for your next live stream from ORD and hopefully with snow! Yeah, I said it. Lol!
Sitting in the nose of that behemoth in front of the cockpit seems like a once in a lifetime experience. But so does sitting on the upper deck right behind the cockpit. *I wouldn’t be able to decide if I were given an opportunity to fly in the 747-8I.* Amazing swept wings though that angle backwards at nearly 45 degrees!
The nose in my opinion is the best part for the best comfortable, quiet, and best experiences. While the upper deck is the best for the privacy and feelings of a private yet. I got to say that 747 is balanced having having each part of the commercial plane :)
@@sergiolaurencio7534 I'm with you 100%. My dad flew in the nose of the 747 once when he was younger and he told me how awesome it was feeling the window getting warm due to air friction while flying at transonic speeds! He knew it wasn't the sun warming it up because he told me he was sitting on the side of the plane that was facing away from the sun!
What will it be flown with? A 767? I believe they closed the STL to Reykjavik nonstop which was the only real international flight outside of North America from St. Louis
Indeed it's a small world! How did you like the food they served? We tried the steak and the fish, but we weren't impressed. I find the basic food on economy more tasty then the business class wannabe fancy food 😊
Hi Allison, yes that's the "hill", the spot where many of my early livestreams were broadcasted from. I was curious if anybody was on the hill spotting at that time 😊
the engines and the plane looks damn smooth

Awesome filming! Love the queen of the skies

They regularly fly over my house into ORD. That four engine roar is unmistakable and usually vibrates my old windows a little too, lol.
@@msr1116 I'm not surprised at all, the 747 measures 140 dB from 100 feet away!

What a smooth take off!!!
Hope you enjoy your vacation and that you had a nice flight
Lufthansa Airlines recently announced Non-Stop Service twice weekly from STL to Germany beginning next June.👍

@@Bodegabonzo it will be flown with an A330

Wonderful! I flew on D-ABYQ from FRA-EWR back in Sept 2019. Was a great flight!
And I also sat in seat 4A! Small world!

I'm jealous! Lol was that your normal spotting location you zoomed in on at the end?
