I haven't tried the 1080p option yet. Bit definitely file size will be smaller compared to 4K. I will update you once I get some info on this.

Can this front A810 unit be used with back unit RC06 (that comes with A500s)?

Between this and Viofo A139 pro , which one would you suggest?
If you can extend the budget, then go with A139Pro. If you are tight on budget then go with A810.
I don't know if it will work but with the A500s turn rear resolution down for less lag and clearer image if smaller

No i don't face such problem. Its probably under warranty so get it replaced immediately.
I feel the A810 front cam is good but the rear camera is bad. And the A800S front cam is average and the rear camera is good.
Now the rear camera of the A810 has been improved after updates.

But one small doubt, plz clarify
Is hardwire kit is recommended for this A810 if so, insurance would be void? or any other issues like car battery problems etc.
If you want parking monitoring, then hardware kit is mandatory. Otherwise it's not needed. If you do install hardwire kit, it doesn't void the warranty of the car technically speaking. It's safe to use. The battery life will be affected in the long term.

I have one query. When I access the microsd card in the laptop, I see one hidden folder containing the same front camera videos. I guess it's consuming double space for duplicate videos. Do you know the purpose of this or a way to turn this off?

Yes it needs memory card. I have shown the file size per minute of this dashcam. Based on that you can calculate how long it can record on your memory card.
I've heard that Dash Cams drains the car battery quickly, even when the car isn't running. I only drive my car twice a week, so is it safe for me to install it, or should I unplug it from the USB when I'm not using the car?
Dashcams don't use car battery unless installed with hardwire kit.
It must be said that parking monitoring only works if you get the hardwire kit.
You mentioned it has GPS. How does it works? Is there any slot for SIM
GPS is different technology and SIM card is different. You don't need SIM to get GPS signal.

How do i set it up to record from both cameras, is that even possible?
It records from both cameras by default
Look at the number plate of the yellow moped with the lady, at 24:17. The number plate is more readable in the top video (new A810) .
However, look at the vertical lines on the red balcony, at 14:18. Why are those stripes much more visible in the bottom (old A800S) video, than in the A810 (top) video? I think that those lines are not an artifact, they exist in the real balcony, but that detail is lost in the new, A810 camera. Strange.

I recently purchased the A810. How do I zoom in on someone's plates? Also, every time I power on the camera it reformats the SD card all the time, is that normal? Is there a way to turn it off?
1. To zoom in on number plate, you have to transfer videos from dashcam to your pc/laptop and then using a video editing software, you can zoom in as much as you want
2. No, its not supposed to reformat everytime it starts. It might be an incompatible sdcard which you have inserted. Try using a different sdcard like this: amzn.to/49NX01I
If the problem still persists after changing the sdcard, register a complaint to the service centre on their WhatsApp number.

how come clip durations are so small, is that typical? is it possible to do constant recording and/or loop recording?
Maximum clip duration is 3 min in most dashcams and minimum is 1 min. It is to avoid overheating and damage of the sdcard.. Also writing a single extended video file has more chance to be lost due to read/write error.

Yes, not a drastic difference, but yes, the extra frames do make the video smooth. But I would prefer the higher resolution compared to lesser resolution with high frame rate

I have purchased 70Mai 810 car dashcam but after installation I realised that it doesn't torn on automatically when I start my car. I don't know if it is regular issue or only I am facing this. I have to always turn it on manually and it is connected via 12 v dc power.
It should automatically start when you start the car. If it isn't, register complaint on the service support number

@@traveltechyoutube I have checked with this service center guy. They asked me to check with the USB charger. So it works fine with the USB charger. The camera automatically starts when I turn on the USB charger. So the observation is that my Skoda Kushaq is supplying continuous power hence camera does not turn on automatically after starting the car. Now the solution is either I need to do hardwire or I need to discuss with skoda center if they can stop continuous power in 12 V DC charger.

There is an 'auto off when stopped' feature under the system settings of the A810. Select it and select the duration. This should solve your issue.

Why did you not use the electrostatic sticker while installation ????
Electrostatic sticker is used incase of immediate need to change the place of dashcam or need to remove it easily. If intending to keep the dashcam in the same place without changing it's location for a long time, no need to use the sticker.

Probably due to low range image sensor used.
I think that rear camera is faulty. Other RUclips reviews of this camera have footage from the rear view camera and it's much better than here
