I actually love the choice for the outfits here. Both of them wearing their Miko outfits that not only represent their masters, but also represent Eua and Hanyuu's relationship with one-another, with Hanyuu being represented by the shard of the greater sword. It's absolutely fantastic.
It is just a theory. Just ignore it if this Umineko connection doesn't exist. Satoko has almost 100%( or 95%) of the sword and Rika just has a little piece of it. I think this represents Rika as a symbol of miracles and Satoko as a symbol of certainty. The paradox is that Satoko has not the whole sword anymore. And everything under 100% is not certainly anymore, right? Well to explain this we have a quote from Bernkastel about Lambdadelta herself: That girl has a dreadful power. …The power to kill an individual ‘without fail’. However, 'without fail’ doesn’t exist in this world. No matter how many times you divide 1, you can never reach zero. That girl has the power to bring the odds of failure down to 'almost exactly zero’…the power to give rise to 'almost perfect certainty’. …I hope I never have to fight such a terrifying witch again Oh and btw the final fight reminds me of Bernkastel vs Ange. This is not about the mystery game or being realistic anymore but about who of them has the stronger will.
Indeed. It is also very likely Eua and Hanyuu are aspects of the Great Witch FEATHERINE AUGUSTUS AURORA, who bestows aspect of Great Witches onto Board Pieces for Entertainment Purposes.
This is actually proof they are Lambdadelta and Bernkastel since Hanyuu kept saying miracle and certain and Lambdadelta is the witch of Certainty while Bernkastel is the witch of Miracles.
It’s interesting that they say some things that seem to refer to Bern vs Lambda in Umi ep 8 with the whole Big Bang and creating their own universe. May even end with both Rika and Satoko dying and living in the sea of fragments as witches, who knows. Especially since despite all of what Satoko has done, Rika cares for her. Hanyuu also pleads Rika for a miracle rather than Rika seeking Hanyuu’s power. The entire fight where they are flying and have auras is much like the fights in Umineko that were often covered in a witch’s illusion which were also spectated by higher beings in the meta, which gives credence to parts of this fight being an illusion. Afterall, in the real world, they cannot fly lol.
@@RaquelleDeVil this could very well be the battle that they were talking about in Umineko where Bernkastel and Lambadadelta fought and it was said that Bernkastel won
Neither of them want to kill the other Neither of them want to die either Both of them seem to hesitate towards the end of the episode. Yep, I feel like we're headed towards the logic error ending by now, somehow it's gonna happen next episode and that will fully connect Rika to Bernkastel.
This fight isnt an illusion, this has nothing to do with hinamizawa syndrome. They’ve both awakened the powers featherine and Hanuyuu granted them. I dont see any reason for this to be an illusion, tell me what yall think.
Oh and also they’re basically not even fighting on the chessboard anymore, they’re literally jumping inbetween fragments during this fight so theyre more or leas connected straight to the meta world, and you can definitely have these kinds of magic battles in the meta world

this!! i had the same theory. she also had a fragment version of herself and let’s be honest, she’s not very nice lol. she called herself a witch as well but didn’t have a name for herself yet, but didn’t identify as rika. i think “bern” is going to take over last minute. otherwise the cliffhanger would be dumb if it’s something predictable as rika setting the sword aside

Gou/Sotsu may have been controversial and divided the community, but there are many that still enjoyed this wild ride and are very eager to see how the rest of the WTC universe unfolds.
