canned corned beef is salty!---I generally don't add additional salt to dishes where I'm using corned beef--but that being said, I do use worcestershire in many corned beef dishes I prepare, so that's more salt...but even adding zero salt, it's still a lot just in the canned meat. Thanks, CB. I think they keep some canned products with those old-fashioned key strips, or with pull-ring tops, so the items can be used as true emergency rations. No can opener needed.
Rub the rim of any can on a stone or concrete surface. It files/grinds away the rolled part and the can pops right open. 😉 But face facts were MEN, we can open it with a knife, axe, or just by pounding it with a rock like a caveman.

I'll probably forego the caraway, though, and continue to season ours with Tony Chachere's creole seasoning because we like it a little spicy.
A great video. One could always change the seasonings but seeing how you prepared the corned beef and potatoes makes the job a lot easier. Thanks Chef Buck!
I make this for my self frequently. My wife hates the bully beef but I love the stuff. I got sick of spam a long time ago but the canned corned beef is my idea of a staple, in spite of the fact that I do know how to cook and do it every day.
My granddad used to call it "wish it was your sister sauce." He loved his cornbeef.
In the Philippines most evweryone calls it "Wooster sauce"
@@johnbodden1641 So do people in England, where it comes from. Only Americans over-pronounce it lol
I love Corned Beef Hash too and My Grandfather did too! He was in His 70s and I remember Him eating a Big Plate loving it! I got My taste for it from Him I guess. He liked to eat it fryed really brown. He would cook Hot Dogs on an open BBQ Fire too until they were almost black!
Hi chef buck that looks delicious it’s a different way of doing it than we do we done a mix stew 🍲 for dinner tonight we have beef 🥩 inside it well try that at some point David great video 🇬🇧❤️👍🍲
I make mine in a similar fashion right up until the Worcester sauce. I've never tried that but I will. I don't do the egg either because this is a dinner dish not breakfast. Anyway, I add a green pepper to mine and sautée it with the onions, and you're right, use a huge onion it's even better that way.
I always eat eggs for dinner.
I'm late to the party but I'm from the UK and just found your Channel I have to say yours is the best recipe I've seen looks amazing! I'm learning to cook really and this is perfect ty xx
Love your videos chef buck! Keep up the great work
thanks a lot!
Excellent easy peasy video. Thank you!!
That looks SO amazing! I am going to make this! Thank youuuuuu
hope you like it--thanks for watching!
Looks good 1 of the best breakfast dishes
I remember vaguely canned corned beef from childhood and I've never touched it since. I'm not even sure where I'd find it in the grocery aisles... maybe with the canned tuna and such. But you sure made everything today look so tasty. Thanks Chef. Happy 2021 and good eating.
yep...it's over in the tinned meat section with the tuna, salmon, spam, etc.....I buy plain canned Corned Beef and make this hash at home, but they also sell pre-made canned Corned Beef Hash with the potatoes already in the can as well, and that stuff is pretty awful
Try the Gordon Foods brand of corned beef hash, comes in a 32 oz.can. it's pretty darn good, not like the overly salty, gushy type you'll find in the supermarket. I do like the idea of Worchester sauce, trying a dab of that next time😋

Are you thick ?
Appreciate you! Thanks for helping me cook breakfast this AM!
Loved it! I’m getting accustomed to your cooking 🧑🍳 Chef Buck. I have subscribed to your channel . Keep them simple and delicious! 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Great personality!
I had never had canned corned beef before. Your recipe looked so good that I decided to try it and I was not disappointed! It was very yummy! Thanks so much for sharing all of these recipes! 😄
What's this here sauce
Time to smell the roses I guess live dangerously dear lady.
I grew up on this recipe in my younger days but never had a fried egg with it. I will give it a go. Thanks, Paul UK
Looks great! Seems like I saw you make this once before... gonna try it. Have to add, the way you pronounce “onion” has me convinced you’ve spent time in Louisiana! Slips out every now and then. 😁 Fun video!
My pronunciation of onion has gotten better over the years...I haven't lived in Louisiana for 20 years now, so I think I've shed a lot of that region from my tongue, but maybe I'll get it back one day.
Hey pronounce onion just like the late Justin Wilson…
You're the first person I've found outside of my family that pronounces "onion" that way. Love it.
That looks great - I love corned beef hash. Must try it with the caraway seeds. PS - I take the paper off the can before using the key, it turns a lot easier.
Thanks, l didn’t know that!
I like the corned beef in a can like this. But I wish they would change the container mine always breaks when I'm twisting it off. Great video looks yum.
If this guy's a chef, I'm an astronaut.
Sure looks good have to try it.
Definitely on my Try A New Recipe list! Looks delish😁❤
hope you like it!--this and corned beef and cabbage are the two dishes I make most often with corned beef
Over the pond here - best easy corn beef hash. Thank you! 🇬🇧👍
When my boys were young, they used to look forward to nights where mom was either going to be late or was going out. Those are the nights we ate corned beef hash. (Wife had a very annoying habit of comparing our hash dinner to dog/cat food.)
The boys absolutely gobbled it up.
Now both boys are grown and moved out, I never get to have it☹️.
(Each son has actually even phoned to ask how to make it? Didn’t realize it was a hard recipe?🙄🤦♂️)
Derick, let me guess, your sons became dedicated Trump worshipers.
Is she still your wife?
I know for a fact that nothing you recreate from childhood ever tastes quite as good!
Looks great. Wonder if sitting the can in warm water for bit then open the can would help it slid out.
Put the can in the fridge for half an hour before hand. Open the other end with a normal can opener. 🙄
Thanks, CB. I think they keep some canned products with those old-fashioned key strips, or with pull-ring tops, so the items can be used as true emergency rations. No can opener needed.
I never thought about that!--that does make it a bit more convenient
Rub the rim of any can on a stone or concrete surface. It files/grinds away the rolled part and the can pops right open. 😉
But face facts were MEN, we can open it with a knife, axe, or just by pounding it with a rock like a caveman.
COOL! Thanks ! Now I know what to do with those cans of Corned Beef !
In Hawaii, we eat canned corn beef in corned beef and cabbage or in corned beef hash (potatoes). We also eat canned corned beef straight out of the can with raw sweet onions and poi.
dont Hawaiian people also eat alot of spam?
@@BeauBassfaceBowie Sure do. Hawaii put Spam on the map.
Thank you, we make this about twice a month. So tasty!! I use the slow cooker.
