Sad to see this go, this has been the most relatable and eye opening podcast I have ever listened to, even in its short run. Thank you for being open about your struggles, and advocating for and representing people on the same journey as you are. Thank you thank you thank you.

I felt this subject material and experience in my bones. Jennette, you are witnessed in that asshat's blatant vulgarity...thoughtlessness is shocking. (I find that it feels like a gut punch to me. I replay my "failures to courageously respond" on a Shame Highlights loop. ) It takes spirit and presence to respond well. The whole process of evaluating and practicing defense(??) is a barrel of ferrets.
I really REALLY connected with this particular episode. This pod has been a bit more illuminating into you as a human which is cool. Looking forward to whatever else you put into the world. Stay rad!

what works for me is when someone is rude and insults something like your novel i would hit them with a bunch of questions ...Like so why will my Novel be bad or why dont you like that show explain i get them talking till i make them sound like a hateful person then i say wow why are you mad ?Like in Analize this the scene in the movie .It works pretty good .Then if they add no value to my life i walk away ,block them and never speak to them again ..My doctor told me that we have to enjoy our lives the best we can thats what i try to do .Love your podcast i hope you come back and do more..Stay well

Show is so good. Okay, lot of ads, but JM is so smart... and really connects with the underlying emotion of the moment.

Jennette, you have been a genuine inspiration to me. Your book, admittedly, triggered me. But it was the kind of trigger that showed how much I had been hiding from myself. I loved every word, I related to far more than I thought I would, and your humor reminded me of myself (I never take my trauma too seriously lol). After reading, I fell back into many of the self-damaging coping mechanisms that we had in common and I had read about, but this showed me what was still a problem. It showed me how much work I had to do, and how difficult it might be to do it. I hope I can repair the relationship with my mother, and I hope I have the grace to move on if not.
I don't want to get parasocial, but on a human level, you are such a brilliant, powerful, beautiful person. I want to be careful not to wish I was you, but to aspire to achieve the level of health you have. Thank you for your podcast, I'm glad to have been a viewer while it was running. Each episode was truly enlightening. Peace and love to you in the future
