    I subscribed last week to your channel, after watching Sean in Alaska and I have to admit. I love the snow, but I will just watch the snow on TV as I moved from the Black Hills of South Dakota in 2022 to Apache Junction, Arizona to get away from all the snow, wind and cold. Brr!! LOL... It amazes me to see how people move to Alaska to live off grind. Some people make it and some don't. IF anyone plans to move to Alaska, they need to have some money behind them to make it work. I don't think I could ever live off grind, I like my luxuries... ha-ha... Love your Videos and I still got catching up to do but will get it done... Thanks for the laughs and Sophie walking in her boots.

      Thanks for stopping in and saying hello. We definitely are a modern homestead with all the modern luxuries that come with that. But yes at the time of this video we were not hooked up to the grid yet and our motorhome has an amazing solar setup and generator to get us through until the power was turned on.

      Yes and yes! Way more than we were expecting... 2021 & 2022 construction inflation had a lot to do with that.

    Another most interesting vlog, thank you. An impressive space is emerging. The R.V. and boat garage looks about the right size to use as a part- time cinema ! 😂 brilliant forethought to house EVERYTHING🤓 and why not in a new build. It’s growing to be fabulous. We don’t get any snow most years, we used to but maybe it was generously passed to Alaska? 🤣. Loved seeing
    the bird, the fall and sun bathing! Phil , suffolk. 🇬🇧

    What a beautiful place. The house is coming along quickly. I am sure it didn't feel that way.

    • @LivingFreeAlaska
      @LivingFreeAlaska  8 месяцев назад

      No it sure didn't... we still aren't 100% done and days like today we remember that! Still waiting for our gutters and well with 40º+ temps and over 3 feet of snow melting on our roofs... I feel like I am living on an island with all the water building up. Uggh but yes... regardless we are inside the house protected from the elements which is a God send!

      @LivingFreeAlaska I totally understand, still don't have gutters up on my house in Wyoming and there are days where you get an extra shower getting into the house

    HI Stacey, been watching some of your old videos again, of the build, it was so lovely to rewatch them, but I noticed this stunning scarf you have on, did you make it, and if so, what yarn did u use, I love the colour, hugs to you both, and of course the lovely dogs, Hilare, xx ( you have the scarf on about 23 mins in to the video :)

    • @LivingFreeAlaska
      @LivingFreeAlaska  16 часов назад

      Hi Hilarses. That scarf was a gift so I have no idea where it came from. It is a infinity scarf as both ends are connected together to make a continuous loop. It is very soft and warm and one of my favorites.

    Started watching few other Alaska living channels but for the past year you have never come up as a suggestion and I usually don’t watch RV channels. RUclips must’ve boxed you up pretty well to RV only.

    • @LivingFreeAlaska
      @LivingFreeAlaska  8 месяцев назад +1

      That is exactly what happened. All these videos have lived on our other channel for over two years now and never had the traction this channel is giving them. I feel blessed we started this second channel and given a second chance. They are flourishing with the new audience. We are truly blessed and are loving hearing from all our new friends here on Living Free Alaska.

    What was the process you went through to select your floor plan? By the way, your prior home and property were just amazing! Must have been tough to leave it. :)

    • @LivingFreeAlaska
      @LivingFreeAlaska  8 месяцев назад +1

      We actually designed our floor plan ourselves. We were going to use a floor plan of the builders but there were things we wanted that his plans didn’t offer so we put pencil to paper and completely designed it ourselves and asked the builder to build it.
