      The Dad has the right to diplomatically state the reasons for leaving. Two things can be true at the same time. His son wished he could stay at CU, and perhaps the development Dad implied was the prospect of getting playing time so his son could get NIL deals in order to pay the tuition at CU. It didn't happen, so his son had to transfer in hopes of getting a scholarship elsewhere. As a parent of a college student, the tuition is not the only costs, add: out-of-state fees, books, 7-day meal plan, dorm fees, lab fees, and basic necessities. The extra fees to actually attend a university like Boulder Colorado is astronomical. 💵🏈📚

      Correct. If he doesn't have a scholarship, nothing else really matters. The rest is pot shots. This whole idea about development is overrated when put on the coaching staff. In my opinion, development is for position camps. You know...the kind that we hear about these promising QBs going to. Team practices are for getting stronger, better at foot work and flexibility, and preparing for your next opponent.

The NCAA is in trouble and smart programs are finding loopholes in this clusterfuck 🤣🤣🤣... Again, look it up if you don't believe me... Colorado could've done the same if they believed in him, but I don't think that's coach primes m.o... you have to earn it, so I'm guessing he didn't earn it... 🤷🏾‍♂️

    Why would he go to CU as a walk-on knowing that not having a scholarship would be an issue? I don't believe the issue about player development due to the length of time Solomon was at CU. A scholarship might have been offered if Solomon performed well during the 2024 season but now no one will know if that indeed would have happened. It happened with Charlie and might have also happened with Michael Harrison had Michael stayed.

    Obviously, there are a lot of talented players at Colorado University who want to compete and be in the spot light. The competition is fierce and the rewards are great, but if you don't have the talent and abilities to compete against your competition you can't get angry at the coaches; you might have to relocate and find you a team that can use you and help you in the way you need to be helped. I played high school football and went to college to play but I just wasn't good enough (scrub) and it took me almost a lifetime to come to grips with that reality! I wish the young man well and for all those who are looking for a team to take them in.

We really don't get the full picture about their effort to maintain the standards when off the field. Wish him success wherever he lands. Walk ons generally have to pay their way until they've "earned" a scholarship. Cormani became a walk on at FL college. Sure he got NIL $$ dollars at CU. Player development. CP doesn't spend much time on development when he has a stable of transfers who are ready to play. CP seems to think it's up to the individual to develop those skills on their on - look at Kaleb Mathis for example, look at the CU back up QB for example. Inexperienced players never get a chance to get on the field during real games - instead Shaduer and Travis are kept in to pad their stats at the end of games when young players should be getting reps. CP doesn't care since he can get experienced players from the portal. The only way young players can develop is they get playing time - ain't happening at CU.

  • @RickMcGuire-bl2vs
    @RickMcGuire-bl2vs 6 месяцев назад

    Player development is difficult when that many guys are shuffling in and out. There can only be so much time w these players. It should be fairly easy to spot if there is quality "player development" going on. The mechanics and fundementals will be being stressed. If tthey are simply bringing in guys and placing them in their sets in practice,they arent developing,they are simply placing guys. Should be easy to see at their practices. MAybe this player and his dad didnt like what they seen,development wise.
