A timely video for me. I was out today and, watching you this evening, I believe your instruction will benefit me tomorrow. Thanks. Nice blue on that board.
Really enjoying your videos. Thanks for showing us Hawaii. Your instructions are to the point, everything needed, and no fillers. I’ve been Windsurfing many years, and Windfoiling for 3 years now. Looking forward to try Wingfoil for the ease of transport majorly.
Thanks Alan a very good video it was very helpful . l am new to winging and determine to get reasonable good at it .This is after windsurfing at a fairly high standard for over 35 years so looking forwards to wing foiling .
Yes we know how good the wind is here on Maui. But you should know it not always sunny and windy. We have our light wind days and when the wind come from the SouthEast direction it is VERY gusty on and off. That kind wind rarely video tape. That being said, Wing Foiling handles the gusts and luff better than any other wind sport I have experienced. Windsurfing, Kiteboarding, boat sailing. Stick with it. As you get better you will coast through the lulls and power up in the gusts. Consider making the trip to Hawaii to take your skills to the next level.

Thanks Alan for this easy to understand video. Is this at Kanaha Beach Park? I think I've been there on my honeymoon 32 years ago 😂
Yes, Upper Kanaha. A good place to learn to wing foil.
Great explanation. I hopped straight into the water having only briefly flown the wing…did not go well. Should have watched this first!
Glad you liked it Simmooz. Check out my best work and Patreon.com/AlanCadiz
Very good explanations.
Please tell me 2.5 sqm wing is ok for 86 kg beginner?
I have sup with second fin (for windsurf).
Thanks.
Did you know your Patreon link in this video is not clickable. Larry
I did not know that. I fixed it. Thank you.
Where can I get one of those wing steering wheels?
lol, Start with a wing and your imagination.

People doing this in Hawaii have no idea how hard it is on the main land on a lake. Try leaning in gusty inconsistent light wind.

What would be fun is to take off on one of these on a boat while its driving then let go while in the air like 20 feet
Lmk how that goes.
ah, an instruction where you actually understand the speaker
