What a wicked good build there. I have always hated the bimini things (aka hook traps) but now I have kids and a wife I somehow see myself doing a project like this myself. At least I still have the big front casting deck on the pro v so I can don't have to worry too much about snagging it from there but my 6 and 4 year olds.... oh boy haha.
you need snaps and buttons. velcro gets chaffed to quickly imo. d&m dist out of portland has em. no sewing needed and they wont pop off from wind. anchor it right to the bars
I’ve thought about this myself. Two things I’d change but applaud your effort. Vinyl should be on the outside on the poles so water drains out, not in. I would’ve also used snaps for the front.
Great job of yankee ingenuity! Did you use a regular sewing machine or did you have to find a heavy duty one? Keep the catch and cook videos coming... maybe a shore lunch!
make some soft pieces (thin carpet) for where the plastic windows touch the bimini pipes and roll the plastic windows up when storing them or they will start to crack and develop lines and start to look like crap, otherwise very good! they make a special plastic window cleaner too. wont scratch use microfiber towels.
Hey agro.. Wasn't sure if you mentioned it.. but what kind of sewer did you use?.. was it like a $200 Amazon special?.. or a bit higher quality ?.. Thanks man..looks good!
Awesome example of Yankee ingenuity! Bravo!
That’s a sweet setup! Thank you for taking the time to make this man, appreciate it!

Looks AWESOME DUDE! I’m going to attempt to do something like this for my Chaparral
This is very inspiring! Looks great for a 1st time and without a pattern
I think thats a sweet build man. Keeping it simple yet very effective

I agree, but the Velcro connection to the sides of the bimini wouldn’t work well if you mount the vinyl on the inside. The framing is in the way.
Great video.. I’m going to do something very similar. How has the Velcro held up?

They are coming! Yeah regular machine with a denim needle

This is excellent work! Thanks!
Good work.Did you use an industrial sewing machine or just a basic machine?
Basic but used a denim needle. Industrial machine would work way better haha. Not good for the machine
I’m impressed, nice work!
Awesome job, thanks for the video
Thanks 🙏 I want one so no water splashes or just wear a rain coat 🤩🤩
This helped me a lot cause my girl canopy is beyond repair 😂

I have a full enclosure for my polar kraft and absolutely love it. Of course not home made 💰
Where'd you get your full enclosure I have a alumacraft 16ft boat but I'm sure they make different sizes wherever you got yours from?
@@michealboothe7394 it came with the boat years ago when I bought it. They hired a company out to make it.
Oh alright I can't find any to buy online if you give your boat measurements or RUclips videos even close except for this one
