    Now I know why my lace edge off my napkins were too stiff, I used polyester thread. Next time Rayon will be used. Same will apply with future lace designs. Thanks for the info John. Patty

    Thank you John, very concise and to the point video. I really enjoyed it, now I know why some thread ranges do not 'work' correctly with my machine.

    Hello John your videos are very welcomed. I acquired PE325 Brother Embroidery Machine. My desire is to do embroidery for RC Church. I just bought it last year in the US. Please could you show how to organize church emblems.

    How do I turn the thread on the side using a 10 needle? Love your tips. Thank you

      Melinda Parham your could look into a “single thread director” or just make a spool holder and sit it on the floor beside the machine.

      That is very hard question to answer as most mainstream brands produce well engineered machines. Allot of it comes down to personal preference and dealer support. I’ve personally owned Brother home machines and love them. Price can range for a few hundred dollars to many thousands.

    When do you use Matt thread?

    • @EmbroideryLegacy
      @EmbroideryLegacy  4 года назад +1

      Barbara Kisting if you are referring to Frosted Matt by Madeira... FROSTED MATT is a beautiful matt effect embroidery thread, the world’s first truly matt and lightfast embroidery thread. Produced using exclusive dyeing techniques, ensuring colours are intense, extremely lightfast and bleach resistant. The high definition and distinctive finish make this thread popular across all market sectors from promotional and logos to sportswear, functional clothing and fashion. For extra creativity, combine matt and shiny threads to achieve amazing contrasts and clarity.

    does bobbin thread need to be embroider thread when making patches? Or can the bobbin thread be any kind of thread?

    • @0111vramj
      @0111vramj 4 года назад

      from what I understand and have learned so far is if the back will not be visible there is no need to use the embroidery thread to match. If you are embroidering freestanding lace or a stuffed toy ear to se, then you would see the other side of it and would want it to look nice by using embroidery thread.
