Where'd ya go Sami? I was curious to see how after 5 years back budding worked out for you. Great initial prune on this boxwood! 👍

So I bought a boxwood today from a nursery it’s bigger it cost $45 and it’s about 1 1/2 to 2 feet tall and the trunk thickness is about as half the diameter as you can make a circle with your index finger and thumb. So my question is I see that they can go through some massive reduction, do you think it’s OK for me to put this into a bonsai container that is 9 inches left to right and 6 inches front to back?

It could. If you reduce it a lot there is always more chance it going bad, keep that in mine. It really depends on what the roots are like. If don't have to roots to reduce you may have to do in stags. It should be done in the spring with the boxwood as it is coming out of dormancy. Also if you are reducing a lot in the roots it is a good time to reduce the top to balance things out a bit. Just remember to leave some green on branches that you cut back or they will die.

Sorry I try to reduce that as much as I can. My first videos I stood on the other side and found I block things more. I am trying to work on that. Thanks for watching
