I rode dirtbikes for years, never tried a track till my later 40s. A group of us dads were taking our kids to the races so we decided to start entering too. I kept it on two wheels that first weekend but was so sore Monday morning I could barely walk! Riding a track and especially racing is harder than it looks but gets better the more you do it. I'll never forget doing my first double, even though it was tiny you still had to commit. Fun video to watch, dirtbikes are a ton of fun. I'm 61 now and my bike makes me feel like a kid still.
Been riding since 12, but left the DB scene and got into street bikes. Bought this 450 for my birthday in 22 and have taken it to the track a few times. I'm fighting the big C now and have been out of shape for the past few years. Do-able but man I feel old, especially after a long Moto. Wish I had more places to ride though here in Pennsylvania or NE.
Agree my dude, the first time at the track is super scary once you start lapping it. Clearing the jumps is the most difficult at first and yes it hurts casing it. Once you start dialing it in, it gets fun but there are tons of sketchy moments in the newb stage. That track looks great for beginners btw.
Sitting watching this and my Neighbor started using his leaf blower and I could just smell exhaust fumes and I’m thinking “I’m really feeling this video I can even smell fumes”🤣
This takes me back to when i was new. I rode about this carefully, somehow my throttle got stuck wide open and the bike sent med through a huge jump at full speed. Got sent into a tree head first lol.
Nice job for your first time, almost looks like you're capping cause you did really good lol. Moto40 is a good spot. Little tip, don't use the clutch in corners, it stands your bike up and kills your momentum
First time out, you're an animal. I'm 40 n just rode for my first time ever last year. (2015 Husqy FC250) With less than 12 hours on a bike, I'm looking forward to pickin up to that pace. 🤙🏼 Right on, ride on.
Hey man not bad for your 1st time. But if you live in the statesville area another couple of good spots is east bend and daniels ridge. Just a heads up if you dont happen to know any local small tracks!

Arm fatigue kicks in

Red Bull is my biggest confidence boost

If you clear the jumps it's easier on the impact landing, looks like you are learning how to clear them fast.
