So much wasted space in the amp. I have the LT25 and it's the lightest amp I have ever seen for it's size. Sounds great especially for a bedroom amp. Sounds great with headphone too, which is the real test. Remember in the 90's and you wanted to practice with headphones and it was always a terrible disappointment? Man am I glad those days are over! It's loud enough for a jam too, I played with a group of guys and I was the 3rd guitar player there and I didn't wanna drag my Marshall 2x12 so I brought the LT25. I was surprised it kept up just fine and didn't have to turn it up all the way or mic it! And I got a bunch of compliments on the tone too. Sweet little amps. Side note for anyone who is interested in these amps: you do have to turn the bass down when you turn the volume up, it's bass has been compensated for low level practicing to make it sound better, but it craps out at high volume levels which can only be fixed by turning it down. Also, all the eq parameters need to be adjusted so you don't get lost in the mix when playing with other musicians. So don't forget that! I love the computer app. My only issue is that it has a very limited processor and you are limited to how many efx and stomp boxes you can use in a chain. You would think the 2x12 version would run two efx chains so each speaker can run different things if you wanted? NOPE! So it's a good step forward for Fender, but they could have put a little more into them. But to keep the price way WAY down they kept it simple. Simple is nice, and they did make it sound pretty good. Better then the original Mustang amps IMO.

common problem with these amps are the input jacks. Cause of the tension and weight of the guitar cord/plug, the soldering of the input jack is often broke. It is a very easy repair and worth the effort. Greetings from Holland

@@fidia_temple For this kind of amps it is very difficult to give a solution in words. What don't play. Is the amp buzzing? is the display working. Maybe the fuse is blown. Maybe the guitar cord is defect. To get the good answer, you must take him to a tech. I'am living in the Netherlands, to far away I'm afraid. A tech can see and hear what works and what not. The amp is fully digital, even the powersource. In case of a broken print at the input is it very easy to see. The rest is almost not possible to repair. I had many digital equipment and they all will fail at the wrong moment (on stage lol) , so no digital for me anymore.

Hey Shane. Wish that when the Now Deceased Amp was cutting out on you, you could have tried plugging in to an external speaker through the line out plugs or the USB. I think I had a similar problem.
I lost my Mustang III when the USB died (no more FUSE patches) - and Fender warranty-traded me to a GT100. Within a little while that unit started having intermittent sound cut-outs of a second or three after the amp had been used for a while. It took a while and help from friends to play it out enough to duplicate it with witnesses. We *think* that it was the transformer coming out of the digital side and boosting the signal for the speaker. Once it got hot enough it would flake out for short periods.
That GT was sent back for warranty trade and thanks to a big dose of Real Life I haven't been able to take GT #2 on enough of a workout. Hope the GT series doesn't have a running problem with those transformers.
Thing is - on some of my earlier testing with GT#1 I plugged line-in to my friend's PA system. We played for a while w/no drops at all.
When you were doing the GT vs M3v2 shootout, I was curious what they both would sound like going out to external speakers or USB direct-digital recording. Any plans for that?

Shane, any woodworker worth his salt could build a panel to fill that hole. I would then epoxy it in. It would then be relatively easy to wire in a speaker jack to the the existing wires, or upgrade the wires because they look like a very small gauge.

The problem with these a amps is usually the power supply check the soldering to see if any points have turned grey or black and if they have resolder them. The power supply board is the one where the mains cable plugs in by the way. If not check the other boards for the same signs as this is the simple way to find a fault unless you are capable of checking the components with an avo.

Things are junk if you ask me, but most of the SS or modeling amps will look pretty empty inside anyway. For me, I'd slide a piece of plywood painted black in the top, put the handle back screwed to the plywood and probably close off the back or use smaller boards to tune the tone of the cab.

I figured out a work around for these (mine was GT40) amps cutting out. I first thought it was the cable or the input jack but it wasn't. I took it a part and checked everything and concluded this was digital/Firmware issue in nature. I decided to isolate functions and sure enough once I disabled the WIFI function it STOPPED cutting off period. Luckily we only need the WiFi to upgrade firmware otherwise not needed. My Wi-Fi is always turned off now and it NEVER cuts off now. Please spread this info to follow Mustanf GT users. I almost tossed my amp in trash because I wasn't gonna cheat and sell this amp like that.

For the hole : put the feet from bottom to top (or 4 new feet), turn the logo around, close up the back, put handle back on top which is now the bottom, and voila a ported cab :D yeah ok normally ports are designed for the speaker itself, but it still might sound nice.
