    It’s interesting that they make them for different countries. Think it’s really cool so that everybody around the world can have the same magazine to read and find all of these beautiful things to cut out and use ❤ thanks for sharing all the great uses for all the pages you cut out of Daphne’s diary that I was not wanting to cut up but now I feel a little more courage to go and cut out all the wonderful things for my journals

    Thank you. I love your organisational tip, I usually set out to cut bits out and then start reading or looking at the magazine and don't end up making good use of my magazine or time.

    Thank you, big time. I have to try this. I do things differently than most people. I buy 2 magazines of the same issue. Then I can use both sides of the page in I want to. I also have extras if I want to do a project twice. I don't have a copied or printer plus I really like how the pages are put together and how they feel. I love textures, and I can make it 3D. Plus, sometimes I buy an extra one for a close sister in the Lord. She is an artist also😊😊😊

    Great video. It’s always helpful to have some method to the madness when harvesting images like this. It makes most sense to me to start with fussy cuts. After removing the images I can then look for space for tags, tickets, interesting bit s for snippets, etc. Leftover full pages are good bases for collage envelopes for me. I generally use patterned paper in these kinds of magazines for greeting cards.

    • @MichelleRaeLandry
      @MichelleRaeLandry 2 года назад

      @ladyflimflam I do the same...I start with fussy cuts and then look for ephemera that can be cut from the remaining space. I also call it harvesting... book harvesting. Clearly we think alike. ;-) Do you find it relaxing? I do in at night by the tv... instead of needlework. LOL Love my scissors!

    Hi, I have a great idea and I hope you like it. In the USA, we use inches 2/3 or 3/4. so I look at the difference, and then I write the difference in inches, etc, on the paper. Then, when I use, I know where to cut it. I do it also in the recipes, so when I cook it. I have it already to use . Thanks for the awesome ideals

    I thoroughly enjoyed this video. I am a mixed media artist, card maker, small book maker, and art journaler but I DON'T do junk journals. There is some part of my brain that just sees them as chaotic. I need more structure. That said, I think all of the techniques you demonstrated for using the magazine images can be used in my artwork. I have several issues of Daphne's Diary (in fact, just bought one 2 days ago) as well as many other "art" magazines. They've resided in a stack that is over 4 feet high. I keep saying I can use them in my art work and NOW you've shown me a system to use to harvest those images. Thank you so much!

    You have created simply gorgeous stuff from your Daphne's Diary magazine. I love everything and I hope to see how they will be included in future projects.
