For a 1 yr. old boy: Hot Wheels cars? Gold Fish Crackers? Animal Crackers? Pretzels? Anything edible in Dollar Tree snack bags? Such a cute idea for egg containers, Tracy!!! Your ideas are always so creative and cleaver!!! 🥰
Great ideas Dori💜 Love them❣️
Thank you for the great ideas only hot wheels are age 3+ and the rubber wheels come off
This is such a wonderful eco friendly way to carry on the tradition of an egg hunt without plastic eggs. I also think this has some great possibilities for Lent activities for kids similar to an Advent count down. Fisher Price little people style toys have been my go too for younger childrens stocking stuffers I think they would fit in your eggs. Thank you so much for sharing this pattern and tutorial.
Love the egg treat pouches! Yes! I will make some for my grandkids!! How cute!! Thanks!
I love these! Going to make some for an Easter basket-decor for myself, daughter and grandaughters.
Love this! I have a 17 and 21 y.o. I'll be stuffing with gift cards and candy!
Bubbles for your grandson. My son is gonna be 2 in April and he is OBSESSED with bubbles!
These are a great idea!!! Thank you❤❤❤
Those are absolutely ADORABLE!! 🎉❤🎉
Thank you 💜
Love these little eggs. My arch nemesis has always been those pain in the butt plastic eggs. Trying to stuff em and then getting them to close again is a nightmare. Such a cute idea Miss Tracy. Thanks for sharing. Your grands are going to have a blast. 🤗🤗
I know it...those plastic eggs are a nightmare LOL😂 Mine would always pop open LOL😜
I have the same problem with the Kapok, we sell compost in 2kg bags, so o me 2 kg was about 18" x 12", but the kapok is so light the bag is ENORMOUS, it will be here forever, love these eggs, will definitely make these for grandchildren, thank you for this great idea x
Love, Love, Love your videos... I have a request. Will you share with us a lesson on using invisible thread and the type we should use??? In the bobbin?? only on top??? I'm confused! I'm afraid to try it...
Thank you Tracy for these fun fabric eggs! I wanted some which were slightly smaller, so I used scraps which were about 4" sq - they turned out cute and are just the right size for a chocolate miniature candy! Thanks for sharing! Love your videos - you are an awesome teacher!!
Congratulations on all that new fabric. Lucky Lady. I’m a batik fan and haven’t had any probs with them in the past, however, I found and used a dark blue OLD batik from my stash and it ran when I misted it on the pressing mat. Just fyi
You are so creative and I can see these being used for years and becoming a wonderful new tradition!
For a one year old boy, try the cardboard cards from a matching game, the ones that are too big to completely fit in his mouth. Since they're cardboard if he teethes on them it won't be as dangerous, and at that age kids can usually match a pair of animals, colirs, etc. I went through this also, as my grandson is a year older than yours, and finding safe toys was not easy. Also, baby socks would fit. Good luck!!
These would be neat for fur babies too.
Great idea!
Those are awesome but I have the same problem our youngest is 17 months and he still sticks things in his mouth. I can't think of anything small he loves his story books and anything he can push buttons and make sounds to go off😂😂
I love this idea of yours It’s wonderfull for The kids. Your very talented thank You 😊
I love this idea of yours It’s wonderfull for The kids. Your very talented thank You 😊
What a cute project! I too have a one year old grandson so will be interested in what other viewers have to suggest.
It's so hard when they are little...I hope others have some good ideas too❤️
You had a log cabin quilt hanging in your studio. Love it! What jelly roll did you use??
For a 1 year old boy, safety suckers! These are just adorable!
I think these would make cute bean bag treat holders
Great idea💜
My grandson loves dinosaurs and construction trucks
Adorable…my 40 babies… great niece and nephews will love this! You’re so creative. Thanks for sharing❤
Wow...40? WOW🤩
May I ask what sewing machine you use? Please !
Oh wow these are super cute I can't wait to make some 😍 thank you
Very cute!!! Thanks for sharing !!
These are truly ridiculously adorable! I'm thinking you can even put gift cards in them.
I would get the pattern but I have nothing that will print it out
I am so making them. Thank you!
Awesome...these are so cute to make...I actually wanted to make more but had to stop myself LOL🤣
I love this idea. I will be making some of these for my children who are 38, 24, 20 and 19 years old 😂. I’ll put a note for a gift card of their choice. The golden egg will go to my one and only grandson who just turned 20 years old. Thank you for the wonderful idea!!
What a great idea! I was going to run and get some gift cards and saw your comment. I love the idea of letting them choose their gift card.
Tracy, I don't know how you sleep at night with all these great ideas swirling around in your head. I'll be making these for my two youngest grandchildren.🐰 I just had an idea. Someone mentioned bean bags. If you filled this with rice or beans, they could be used later on to play hopscotch. (Do kids play that anymore?).
I'm not sure about now.....but I definitely played hopscotch when I was little❤️
Those are SUPER CUTE sis!!! Nice job!!💓
I loved making these...so much fun...now I can't wait for Easter LOL🤣
@@TheSewingChannel Have fun sis😂💓
great idea! going to start making these next week!
Adorable little eggs! I want to find the one with the unicorn!🦄
🦄🦄🦄Right!!!🦄🦄🦄
I made something similar last year. I made a 4 dozen eggs in 4 different colors, (I have 4 grandkids). I stuffed dollar bills in the eggs and hid them instead of real eggs. Each grandchild was given 1 color of eggs to find. This way they all received the same amount of money.
What a great idea Pamela🎉
Little people animals and figures
I didnt think I was going to have time to make these but they dont take much time at all! I started cutting fabric this afternoon and have managed to make two dozen. I love that you provided a .pdf too. I can put it in my binder and I'll remember these next year when Im looking for easter projects.
Also...I dont remember where I got the batik fabric (Etsy maybe) but I have the same fabric as you lol
Stickers, balls, crayons.
For older children - nail polish, soap, lip gloss, keychain, mini flashlight...
Great ideas!
Those are just darling!!
Oh my, so cute! Great idea!
You are so darn creative…wish I lived next door…I’d bring coffee over😀☕️
Yes...coffee would be great LOL😂
Cute project! My grandkids will love this. I found a miniature Sophie (giraffe) chew toy that might fit into that pocket. Try out the baby sections of stores for more ideas for really little ones. My grandson is older and loves matchbox cars and I have some left over from my reusable Christmas crackers. He’ll be getting those as well as little 🦕, 🦎, and 🐍. Haha 😂
Thanks for the ideas Lynn❤️
100% yes on those little things. Current favorite here is the Woody you showed. Brilliant idea for eggs for a hunt. My family has these year round and I hate plastic eggs. Great idea to gift to older people too. 🙃 as usual I get ideas from you to continue my own projects. This time I can add to yours. I have been working on baby toys. Mostly called “taggies “. The youngest babies are just putting things in their mouth and love that crinkle sound. The next oldest is teething around the clock. I also have a 4 year old that needs to be included. The pocket works for her. I started with an owl with a solid shaped body except for the legs/feet. I made them short but long enough to tie a knot in the middle. The knot will be great for chewing on. The wings are sewn down but contain the crinkle. Then my brain wanted arms and other fidget things and something besides an owl because I can’t make the ears look right and you can take from there.
You have so many great ideas...Send me some pics to my email. thesewingchannel33@gmail.com 💜
Maybe a little hot wheels car for your grand son, or maybe some little bags of their little treats.
That's a great idea🏎️
No grand babies, just a grandkitty. Maybe make small catnip stuffed toys , treats, and balls. He loves fabric, bobbins, and thread spools too.
These are very clever, thank you for the idea, will make a basket and just set it out for visitors, my Grands are in their 20's and always searching my candy dish.
Sooo cute! I just got your pattern and can’t wait to make them! My kids and grandkids are much older so I’m thinking of putting a gift card in them for a coffee or from a favorite book store. Thank you for sharing this fun project!
Thank you. I wasn’t too enthused at the beginning but by the end I am going to make my own fabrege eggs. Spool of thread is good add end for friends or other small notions, even a set of 3 charm squares.
Where do I post a picture of the little egg ,like Tracey made?
You can always email pics to thesewingchannel33@gmail.com
Wow these would be good for adults also I would use 10 inch squares!! Thanks for the great idea!!
Tracy, you are so creative and thoughtful. Those cute little figureines are just the best. Your grands are going to have a great Easter. My kids never got candy for Easter, but they got the best toys. My daughter thought that it was so strange that the Easter bunny brought us such different stuff than the other kids got. 😊
I think the same as you....my kids always got toys instead candy ✅ My granddaughter loves those little figurines...it's gonna be so much 💜
We struggled with how much other kids got at Christmas, Easter, and birthdays. We explained that those kids were not better behaved or deserved more. Instead, their parents left money for Santa and the Easter Bunny so their kids got more.
My son, at 3, said (with all the righteous indignation any 3yr old can muster), “You mean they BRIBE Santa? And the Easter Bunny? That’s wrong!” We never used baby talk so their vocabularies were pretty extensive. We said, “Not a bribe, exactly. More like making sure there were enough toys so everyone gets at least one even if they leave more at that house.” He didn’t buy it.
That is great. I was wondering what I could do for my grandson's class for Easter. Last year I made the bunny bags.
❤ love this idea! It's the pouch that makes it unique and different. Yes, I will be making these. 😂
Really cute idea
These are super cute! I love the batiks! My son always loved the hot wheels or any little trucks. He had a backpack full of his little treasures that he would carry around. He also loved little farm animals and Mickey Mouse figures.
What a nifty idea! Toys for one year olds are difficult. Little vehicles or figures? Just not too small. I love this idea and my granddaughter, who is now 5, still loves to carry around her little figures. You could even sew in a ribbon on the egg to place on an Easter egg tree. I love that you are not loading the eggs up with candy!
How about a gift card?
Hi Tracy! So cute! Your kids are gonna love it! I love that you're doing more videos!
Pretty Cool Tracy!! Thank you for sharing‼️💕
Very cute. You could ad a hanger & put them onto a small tree as a table center piece. Thanks for sharing.
The way you made these with the pocket is fantastic! Yes, I will be making some!
Super cute and creative! Even those who don’t have anyone to “hunt” eggs could use these as a spring display in a basket with the grass.
Love this so much! Hot wheel cars would be cute also
That is a really good idea...I will get some💜
YES! Those eggs are really cute. Please show us more shapes that could be made.
Love , So so fun. I want to do this. You are always so gracious
to teach and share your ideas.
Tracy this is adorable!! You just made a memory for the grandkids!! ❤
Awe...that is so special💜
That's a great idea for my stash of charms! Now to go dig!💜💜💜
Tracy, what a genius idea!!! So cute and easy too!!
Great minds think alike...LOL 🤣 So you must be genius too 💜
Matchbox cars are great for little boys
Great idea💜
Love them. Too bad my grand kids are to old. Great idea Tracy
Nothing wrong with a gift card or small amount of cash going into the pouches. I’m going to send one to my Mom in assisted living along with one for her dining companion. My kids and their partners are each getting one, too.
So cute!! I'm not a batik fan, but they made the best eggs in this case!
I'm just like you....not a batik fan...but they made the most adorable egg treat bag for sure💜
So Creative!
These are SO ADORABLE! We used to put pennies and nickels in several plastic eggs for the kids (now 36 and 34) to find with one egg marked with each child’s name with a $10 bill. We went small on the chocolate treats; our kids preferred carrots with ranch dressing to chocolate candy. Great job, Tracy!
Those are great ideas Christine❣️
Great idea, so simple yet so effective.
I love these!! Super cute! I'm always making my grandkids goodies like this!! I have 7 grandkids and 6 great grandkids who are ages 5 months to 16 yr old! Even the 16 year old would like the Faberge eggs with the right kind of goody inside!! Thanks!!❤❤❤❤❤❤
You will have so much fun making these for them💜
So cute!!! 😊❤
Love this!
So adorable!

Thank you for the kind words💜
What a cute idea 😊
Thank you! 😊
Great idea!
Thanks!
adorable! i think your 1 year old grandson will be good with the eggs by themselves:)
I think so too! No need for stuffing it with anything✅
@@TheSewingChannel you know it might be fun to put that crunchy plastic in so that when he grabs it it will make the krinkly noise.
Cute idea.
Thank you! 😊
Adorable!
Thank you💜
Those are so cute. Thank you.
You are so welcome!
