- REVan Evan and Abe Tango spot Denny Neighbor Jr's awesome 1966 Fairlane that's been in the family since new. It still wears it's original paint scheme from the '60s and was recently raced for the first time in 35 years with the combination from the 1970s.
If you liked this video, you'll love this 1967 4-speed Fairlane:
• Sleeper 1967 Fairlane ...

My dad was a FE nut. He ran a 428 Shelby in his 69 Ford ranger PU with a built C6 transmission. 😉😁
WOW! I hope those eye-catching crazy paint designs make a comeback!
Thanks
paint is so cool,
Such a cool story! 11:20 @ 120 is pretty strong for a 390 on 4 psi. Family since new, unreal.
My dad had a 1950 ford truck with a 4cyl and bought a galaxy 500 with a 352clevland in it and put that in the Ford truck with the auto and made the truck a flat bed for hauling wood back in the 1980s I wish he still had it
Beautiful old school Fairlane.👍
love the vintage paint and blower on the 390!
Yes, the vintage paint on the Fairlane is cool!!
I have a Canton oil pan from your uncle Kurt. Keep those FEs alive!
Awesome! I hope he lets you visit his uncles garage!
One cool bad ass!
That is one sweet car! I have NEVER seen or heard of a 390 with a Roots blower on it..how cool is that!
Thanks Evan
Same here.
My dads buddy ran a Datsun 280z for awhile with one.
Yes it does LOOK COOL. Thanks for bringing it out, Amigo. You're uncle is SMILIN'!
Love the old-school styling... Looks specially good in a Ford.
Nice old school
Hell yeah respectable time badass all respect for the kick ass guy man true sportsman racer man just after having a good old time God bless him
Great vid, very cool Fairlane!!! 👍👍👍👍👍
Good to see a vintage race car run and kept in the family
Another sweet Fairlane with a great story too. It just keeps getting better. Thank you Evan, keep them coming.
Hope this fine gentleman has you visit his uncle's garage.
Beautiful Fairlane! Love seeing those older cars and paint work! Thanks 😊 🙏
Love the FORD content. Great channel 👍
That's a really cool old ride. Cool stories.
Love that car!
Every car comes with a story but this kind of story is the best. Nice job keeping it together.... LoL.. "going for the Win'Light"
Cool car. I like rare combinations like that. He's smart for not getting greedy with the boost. The first five pounds from a Roots blower are the best. Over 7 psi, forget it.
Epic, hope I get to see it this summer!
Its good to see this car again! Its from Ohio where I used to live. I saw that car on the streets in the 70s and car shows in the 80s such places as the I-X center and the all Ford show in the parking lot of the Cleveland Ford Casting Plant. Car was owned by Kurt Neighbor. Paint job was very similar to the new one and it ran on American Torque Thrust mag wheels then. Thanks for showing this car! Good to see it again!
COOL Fairlane!
Had a 67 fair lane with a blown 427 side oiler was in hot rod magazine in 84
Old school Ford muscle car still whooping Chevy butts.
Damn Evan, this is Total BaddAssery! Thanks For Sharing! 👍🏻💪🏻👊🏻😎🍻🍻
At first I thought it had Greatful Dead bears going down the side.
Awesome Evan! You are killin' it!
Thanks
I know Kurt. Nice guy. I've been around a LONG time and never saw a blown 390! Gary Cochran ran a blown 352, then a 427 in a Comp Roadster (short Dragster with a T body) back in the early 60's, but I never saw it race. This is a cool Fairlane. Love the paint. Great story. How about getting the NMCA to Division 1?
Cool car I owned a 66' back in 85' when I was 16!
My aunt used to have a 66 comet GT 390 4 -v .... It was an awesome hot rod that she misses to this day! Very similar looking with very similar original power plants. 🤠
Evan it was nice meeting you and Abe at Bradenton, and Denny definitely is now a drag racer as well as a circle track guy.
AND Denny cut not one but TWO .000 perfect lights. Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy.
Thanks, much appreciated. I'm not sure who this is based on your Google name.
@@revanevan I was there with Kurt Neighbor when you interviewed Denny and Kurt, shook your hand after.
It was so cool to see Denny do well his first time drag racing, he's a natural.
They say the 1966 and 1967 are very similar. I have a 289/67. It doesn't look like that at all. Lol. Keep the excellent FORD content coming.
Awesomeness!!!
That was super cool
Wow!... Great Car Great Story... the Owner is Just Having Fun.
My uncle had a galaxy with a 390 big block Ford in it and it was a tank but it would run it had the C6 transmission in it
You can see the hole in the floor from the 4 speed! I wonder if that car came from the factory with a 4 speed.
About 35 years ago, there was a '66-'67 Fairlane 2 door HT parked near the University of Cincinnati, which was the light olive green with a black vinyl top, and it had 390 badges on the front fenders!
Great story, would love to see this run!! I'm from Ohio will be keeping an eye out for this beautiful Fast Ford!!!
This car lives in Florida.
I want an uncle Kurt!
👍👍
Awesome Story Evan and Bitchen Fairlane
That is a tasty car. Just right
Great memory great story.
Evan, I'm sure you're referring to the great Travis "Tuki" Hess.👍
Indeed I am.
😍😍😍😍😍😍
I am NOT a ford guy and im a subscriber. I cant believe you dont have a larger following on YT evan.
neat car git it more boost
4lbs of boost??? You could throw 10 at that motor and it would eat it like a champ. Then you'd have a hotrod. Very cool car though.
If Denny hasn't freshened up the bottom end then 4 psi of boost is plenty. The FE's have a skirt design though a 390 is a two-bolt main & a cast crank, very if-ie for anything over 5 psi. Killer paint! I like the stance of the Fairlane. Denny needs to find the grill medallion.
0:33 HEY, REVan Evan: Really Dude "...throw'in up a new video...". How about saying something else instead. Good video, thanks.
I know where there is a 66 4 speed 390
Denny talks to much. lol
“How can you not love this retro paint scheme?” Uh, because it’s tacky and plain fugly? I prefer the green Fairlane you reviewed previously 1000X over this one.
Sweet car ugly AF paint job.
Thank you for sharing your and your uncle's history and fantastic cool Ford love the Fairlane, as a real car guy myself let's hope and pray all these Liberial jerkoff's don't get there way and take this away from us, stay safe and enjoy !

Some people say that the 427 fairlanes were back in the day the fastest muscle cars available in stock form, is this true?
with a,
427ci Cammer under the hood...
Yep...
