I PR'd my strict OHP with wave sets. I think for competition lifts that are highly technical, and explosive they are great. I also think they are good for confidence if you do compete. However for the OHP I feel like I was only developed in the situation where I was exploiting the post activation potentiation. I was dependant on the method to hit those numbers, it was too far away from my baseline for me to credit myself for it, if that makes any sense. I really believe moreso in putting on meat everywhere to then use the power of my meat to do the weights better.
Thanks for making a vid showing a tall lifter squat with some spinal loading! As a tall lifter myself I cant stand the constant looks and comments about my.back position! Its as people act as if they are all x-ray visioned chiropractors! Bravo

You're a coach, and im not, but maybe you are going too close to your limits? I mean if you reduced the weight by 2-5 kg you might of not have misses and done more waves.

I personally do something similar with a slingshot elbow cuff.
yeah it doesn’t do much though. I just rolled my knee sleeve (hookgrip cloth sleeve)
