    I'm a tournament guy and I only play tournaments and I have piosolver but I had it for over a year and I never use it. can you make a video about when to use it to study and how to use it in a simple easy way for tournaments?

    It's really remarkable how wide in some situations the solver wants to continue facing a bet. I would think even very skilled mid-stakes players don't continue as wide as the solver.

    When I press Start Solving, it software starts some process, then logs this:
    Start Solving..
    Encountering error:
    Card length incorrect: 0
    Then I wait for 5-10 minutes, no more logs occur. Then I press ShowResult and software closes. I guess it dies.

      Unless something has changed, you should only have to pay one time to keep it. If you have a Mac like I do, running parallels for windows will cost you money every year.

    #2. PileSolver. You send your dog to drop a huge deuce on your douchebag neighbors porch. He loads up PileSolver dna analysis option. Finds out it’s full of potato. Case solved

    So how does this give you an edge? Making your opponent indifferent would mean you have a 50 50 chance.

    • @cardsandcapital
      @cardsandcapital  Год назад +1

      That is a great question Mike! I don't have a short and simple answer. Would it help if I put together a video to explain that concept more in depth? Quick explanation that is over simplified: It makes you extremely difficult to play against which causes mistakes in your opponents. If you create a scenario where your opponents never have a "best" option, then they essentially have to begin a balanced guessing game that is not profitable.

      @@cardsandcapital I would love a more in depth answer but thank you for this simple answer! I have heard this before but still dont fully understand this concept. thanks for your great content.

    Where does an ambitious beginner start with poker who wants to learn as much as possible about the game despite little experience?

    • @cardsandcapital
      @cardsandcapital  Месяц назад

      Great question. Depends where you are at with your game as a beginner. I wouldn’t start with solvers. Step #1 would be mastering your preflop ranges so that you are setting yourself up for the best possible situations later in hands. Plenty of good books/courses/apps that can help with this. Once you have that down you can start looking at the more complicated aspects. Playing quality ranges preflop is like knowing basic strategy in blackjack. Some decisions will be more obvious than others, but if you are opening too many hands from early position it can be the equivalent of doubling down on 16 vs a dealer 10. (Just setting money on fire)

    You don't need a solver to know that when you get check raised on the river, 95% of time it isn't a bluff
