I've said this before, but if India had a unique religious unit that could spend a charge in AI territory to "learn" that city's religion, then come back home and spend a charge to "teach" it, that would make the Dharma ability work for me. It's a really strong ability, but hoping the AI spreads it in a speedy and efficient manner just makes it too awkward IMO. Talking of unique abilities, I've been toying with the idea of a civ that has in their abilities "Tax - earn 1 gold per turn for each population in your empire and each population in City States you are suzerain of". I was worried it might be a bit too strong but seeing how underwhelming the version in this mod is I think it'll be okay.
I played this save to the mid game and in my game Poland got choral music instead of feed the world which sucked for me. Additionally by turn50, they already had winged hussars (and 120 culture per turn) and I just got my first swordsman and archers. I managed to hold them off with archer spam, varu for -5 strength and river crossings. Then I pushed to their city and damaged it until it was low and then they brought another 5 more winged hussars in at once but I managed to peace them before I lost anything. Fast forward to turn 100 and I just got pike and shot and they surprise war me again with about 10 winged hussars as there was a -50% production cost in world congress. Then I fought them for about 20 turns before finally I widdled them down and unlocked bombards to finally take my first city. Crazy how different these games can play.
Love the aggressive settles and settling in "disloyal" territory without impending war, something I almost never do (I like warring with my neighbors, Scotland isn't thrilled about it or so my delegation informs me.
I'm attempting, as best as I can, to sort out my sleep schedule and return to normal operating hours. What better way to ease into sleep than an Ursa Ryan video before bed? Huzzah!

Would champing to get the workshop in your capital have been better overall? Work the workshop while builder gets over there chop it out then you have more production for the wonder?
8:50 shouldn't magnus be placed in widget instead? settlers spawned at the cap would still need to travel towards widget before turning up north because of the thick mountains blocking the north of the cap
It's not true you couldn't do anything about making sure Indonesia spreads their religion - forward settle a trash city with a production focus, that will immediately get converted to their faith - and build missionaries there.

I think persia would be a great civ for the tax idea, maybe also apply to other civs you have a favorable peace treaty over?
