Actually this is the clear type of informations that i proposed yesterday that u need to expose to the public when discussing issues pertaining house construction. I suggested by yesterday that u shouldn't underestimate the cost for that may let some people stranded while attempting to build but am now glad seeing that u have stood on the truth today. In house construction, there are unplanned financial challenges in every step but being that winners never quit, u must just keep the fire burning no matter how much u shall financially endure. Thanks
I very rarely comment on RUclips... But this one has forced me to do so. Thank you for educating the starters. These costs can be very frustrating! Lintel timber in the village! Transport costs 😢😢😢
Isaac you are doing a superb job.... please keep educating us on this issues (construction). Iam a new subscriber..... super glad to have stumbled upon your channel 👍👍👍
Cant agree any more. When i was doing construction back on the village, I used to pay close to one thousand shillings per day on water alone. Timber and poles for supporting lintel works. Those costs plus other hidden costs for things like nails, wall pass etc will always inflate construction costs. Not to mention Kanjoo approval charges. Damn expensive!!!
I gree to what you are saying especially transport and quoting less material and they need more. Also fundis changing agreed dates of payment on their labour 😢
Very good info 👍. Believe it or not all these items are included in a professional BoQ. It is not written directly but it is included in the rate. Maybe the only thing haiko kwa BoQ is food 😀
Just to add on on it. Always Fundi will promise you that they have everything they want, or to last for one week ahead, But the truth is they'll need something later in the afternoon or early morning the next day 😅
Your comment cannot be faked! You been there. And the fundi asks for that extra thing in an 'as a matter of fact attitude'.. like .. well .. we cant proceed without that thing that we did not include because its obvious .. like water.
😂 Mr Isaac, you could not have said it better. 100% my experience. It is no joke but nobody tells you this truth. I am happy for you. Your sense of humor held you up.
The worst experience ni after installing my PVC ceilings my 3bedroom hse zoote zilianguka chini after afew days,,aki hio expenses 😢😢,thax for your gd info
I built twice ... Excellent stuff. The more you build, the more you shut up and done complain any more. many other unspoken small things ... the real extras cannot be said because they are so odd ... the cornice example is REAL, on boda they are ruined, so you pay the probox more money than the cornice price.
Very true..I have gone thru this. Am at roofing stage and I hope the fundi gives me correct number of mabati. Pls how much should I pay to fundi for roofing?

I usually reserve my comments many a times but this one, its sooo reaaal it hurts. Issac, i went through this its like you are telling my story, kwanza maji, transport, hizo mbao za lentel wueeh. starters take heed.
Little things(expenses) that your Fundi rarely tells you; 1. Water costs 1:37 2. Wooden scaffolds/Lumber 5:56 3 Licences and permits 8:39 4. Transport 13:31
Very very true. Everyone should watch this before starting to build. Water, transport, round poles, timber, food. Those things cannot be ignored.
