Met Roger and had a good chat with him on the Humberside rally in the Yorkshire forests, and beat him on a few stages until we went otl.

Drove a 1600 BDA-engined Escort for a while. Wonderful fun. The owner went off for a holiday and had nowhere to securely park the car, so he asked me to look after it and said I could use it. Well, what an offer!
I went over to the Lake District from Sunderland one time at night, 140 mph over the Pennines through those long straight bits and many twisty hairpins - it flew!

I agree. The mk 1and mk 2 Mexico's and RS models were what you call real Escorts. Not like the front wheel drive Escorts that came later.

Sorry Tony, not happy with the positioning of your seatbelts....you need to loosen the shoulder straps and tighten the lap belts properly first, then readjust the shoulder ones to suit.
As a licenced Clerk of the Course, I'd stop you competing until it was remedied - it's your safety I'm concerned with!!!!
