    Caliber conversions have never taken off because everyone charges $1000-$2000 (another guns cost) for conversion kits. PWS on the other hand is selling the full kit and barrel for sub-$500 which is a massive improvement.

      Bushmaster was $700 msrp for their kits. So $125 difference. $575 msrp for PWS kit. Not going off their MAP pricing. Reason it hasn’t taken off is because it’s not that much of an advantage to civilian or military market. You’re talking 3k to have a rifle in two calibers. I could also just have a 556/22 and 300 blk upper on one lower for under 2k and then do the same with an AR-10. Just swap uppers around. Benefit to that is no proprietary parts dedicated optics to that upper. Down side is more parts that have to be purchased, stored, so on.
      While this stuff is cool, there is kind of already a solution for it. Probably the coolest thing is converting between 556 and 762 on the same serialized firearm.
