- In this video, I'm going to share my step-by-step process of how I build a travel capsule wardrobe, while also sharing my favourite packing tips. This guide has worked for me for years, and it allows me to pack minimally while still staying stylish and cute 🥰

UPDATE: I filmed the lookbook with the travel capsule wardrobe that you can find on my Instagram: instagram.com/kimbedene ❤ Also, this was so much fun, thank you, everybody, for your suggestions, and I hope you enjoyed the video ❤ And if you want to, I can do more travel capsule wardrobe videos based on your suggestions, with a lookbook at the end. Maybe we can do one for every season, let me know 👇🏼😍
I’d love suggestions for Scotland/Ireland, as I’m going in August - but they say the nights get cold. I want to pack carry on only. Sounds tricky
The order you use is really interesting. It brings to light why I usually get to what had been my last step before packing, which is finding shoes, and then I often get stuck with things not working. I love this strategy and will give it a try on my next trip. Thank you!
Yay, I'm glad you enjoyed the tips, I really hope they help you when packing 🥰 Thanks for sharing! ❤️
Great tips! You’re so right. I start with shoes now too. One pair for walking, one a little dressier and one pair of slip ones or flip flops (handy for pools, yoga, or going to a buffet or casual breakfast or lunch at a resort or cruise).
Exactly, I just feel this shoe selection makes the most sense 😍
I always travel with a light weight carry on - personalized - bcuz these days i am ready for them to say check it! Goal now is to use a lightweight wheeled under seater! Minimal!!! Yes to hand washing!!
❤Love your idea of having thin warmer layer pieces to wear underneath instead of a bulky outer layer!! Well explained!
📱I assess my “pack” choices after a trip too. I have both warm and colder weather packing lists🎉 on my phone to make sure i don’t forget things in hotels. You have been so helpful!! ❤
Thanks for sharing and for the lovely comment, I'm so happy this was helpful! 🥰
I go back on this video in October for the vacation in Sicily 🤗 I love your colors, black and white are my neutrals, too
Great! 😊 And yesss, I love black and white so much 😍
Thank you so so so much Kim for the video because It's very very helpful to me and I really really love your videos a lot and I wish you have a lovely week ahead🥹🥹🥰
No problem, glad it was helpful! 🥰❤️
I would have eliminated the tan sandals, purse and top. You had a white top and cover up. The black, white and pink seem to work better together and with the denim. Maybe a black crop top instead? Thanks for sharing your process. It will be useful to compare to my own process which is similar. I just never thought of starting with shoes.
you wouldn't bring a purse?
Thank you for doing Tuscany! Another helpful & fun video 💓
No problem, I had so much fun and I hope I did it justice 🙈 Thanks for the suggestion ❤
This video was so pleasant to watch
Yay, I was trying out a new style, so I'm glad you liked it! ❤
Thankyou Kim, love your ideas for packing Thankyou! And take care 🤩🤗
Thank you Debra, I'm glad you loved the ideas! I hope you're doing well ❤️
I always start with underwear and nightwear because I don’t want to be buying that if I forget it, then I go to shoes and the rest like you.
Can you tell I forgot to pack my panties once 😂
Oh no, that must have been so annoying 🤣 But now that you mentioned this, I actually have a travel checklist which I can post in the community post 😉 Thanks for sharing! ❤
Thanks, I am going away next week so your timing is great. I love the idea of packing shoes first. I will do that for sure. The metals is also a thoughtful approach.
Oh nice, enjoy your holiday, and I'm glad you liked the tips 🥰
Hello beautiful Kim. Your packing method is so much easier! 👍 Thanks! Where do I find your packing list? I would love to see the outfits you got from this packing video. 💋
Aw, thank you, I'm glad this was helpful 🥰 And you can find the packing and travel checklist in my community post: www.youtube.com/@KimBedene/community 😍 And noted!
Hi Kim when I go away 14 days I think three swim suits three shoes eight tops worn twice over couple skirts or shorts couple dresses day wear only four bottoms. Night wear 14 days at least eight tops worn twice three trousers couple dresses two one pair leggings with longer top shirt etc one handbag and one day bag couple cardigans two three pairs earrings two bracelets two necklaces maybe on blazer if needed
Great video🤩now I only wish that I had a trip planned so I can use all of your tips🤭
Hehe, I'm glad you enjoyed it! 🥰😍
Hi - this was really helpful. I'm looking to buy the nude camisole - can you tell me if they fit well. I'm a UK size 10 and am wondering if I should buy the medium or the small size. Thanks
I’m so glad ☺️ I have size small and it fits nicely on me, I would say they’re true to size, but they are also very stretchy so I think it all depends on how fitted you want it to be 😉
@@KimBedene Thanks - I went for the medium as I didn't want it to be too tight. I guess I can ask to exchange them if their too loose.
Dear Kim, consider that I am even more rational than you!
For example, if I go to the seaside / visiting a city for nine days, I bring three outfits for the day and three outfits for the evening.
I absolutely agree with you regarding metals, so I either choose all gold or all silver.
Regarding accessories, I bring a single accessory for the day and a single accessory for the evening that works for everything.
So, for example, one pair of shoes for the day that works for all three outfits, and one pair of shoes for the evening for all three outfits.
Similarly, one cardigan for the day and one for the evening, one belt for the day and one for the evening, one bag for the day (usually a medium backpack) and one handbag for the evening, one pashmina for the day and one for the evening, one pair of earrings for the day and one for the evening (as I mentioned, either all gold or all silver).
I write a schedule before leaving with already decided what I will wear each day (the weather does not vary significantly from one day to the next, so I can already decide the 9 days in advance).
Obviously 9 pairs of underwear + 3 bras.
As extras, I only bring sneakers in case we go trekking somewhere and a jacket for the evening in case it gets a bit colder.
In this way, I have always brought very few items of clothing but never had any problems!
And when I get home, I wash everything!
Wow, this is incredibly detailed, thanks for sharing! 🥰
I wear a pair of shoes haha then pack 3pair light wear start with shoes yes
Now for us real people: underwear, socks (because hiking), hiking clothes, toiletries, rain coat/umbrella, makeup, bathing suit coverup. Adds a lot more.
Snap I use my bed
❤
One nightdress after showering
Not sure why people need multiple bikinis for a day at the beach 🤨
Growing up we've always been told to change out of our wet swimming suits to avoid infections, so that's why 🤷♀️ Plus, I hate sitting in wet swimming suits 😉
Great and inspiring video
Yes please, if you can make an outfits out of it I wolud be very happy
Yay, I'm glad you liked it! And noted!
