    Good tips!
    Most of my "No" items have been a color I liked but that didnt match my skin tone or other items I had. Being more mindful of the overall flattering color palette has helped alot.

    I've been into minimalism and simplicity for the past 2-3 years, and I've recently decluttered all of my belongings like never before. I'm talking about 80% gone of my entire stuff! I had too many clothes and way too much make-up. I chose "to have" instead of "to use" which made me feel more and more uneasy. I came across your channel for inspiration and I really enjoy your content, thank you! I like your natural face a lot, to be honest it's rare to find these days on RUclips when it comes to fashion and beauty. Your smile is so warm and genuine, and your sophisticated and relaxed style suits you well!

    To me the point of capsule is not about a specific number or rules it's really about being intentional and mindful about what we buy and we need and what makes us happy rather than mindlessly buying. It's beautiful but really does take more work than mindless shopping where we just buy stuff that catches our attention on an impulse.

    Kim, this has been super helpful. I do seem to keep buying the same things again and again and not really learning the lesson of why these items aren’t working for me once I have them. Creating the NO guidelines which I did after watching your video, was super eye opening. I then went on to create YES guidelines too. I’ll see how that goes. I had already been developing a wardrobe wishlist from watching other content on RUclips. I appreciate the boundaries that the NO guidelines are providing me as I am reviewing that wishlist with a new perspective. Also I cannot emphasize strongly enough how right you are about needing to be able to physically see everything. Things that get buried behind other things will never get warm and do contribute in my experience to that feeling of nothing to wear and overwhelm. Thank you!!💙

    Here in Puerto Rico? Seasons are not observed. So we can wear the same thing year long. But I see your 12 mo approach as doable and improtant to keep it fresh and real. One "problem I have is the difference between work wardrobe vs regular one. How do you suggest I approach that. Right now? I have the separate in my closet. But sometimes I reach for regular ones for work, noticing I am bored and looking for comfort. 😅

    • @KimBedene
      @KimBedene  6 месяцев назад +1

      Absolutely, I get a lot of comments from women in similar climates and they still switch out their wardrobe to make it more fresh 😉 As for the work wardrobe, you can do a couple of things. 1. you can create a small section within your wardrobe with only work pieces that you can mix and match with the rest of your closet. Or 2. if you want to take it a step further, you can also pick 1-3 work outfit formulas that you love wearing and create a dedicated capsule wardrobe for that. If you're interested in that I also have a video about outfit formulas: ruclips.net/video/TQhsEzmO55E/видео.htmlsi=hZuyUKBHzXxOyWXA ❤

    I have a 5/7 month wardrobe here in Finland. Winter is shorter and summer is basically spring/summer/fall. 😅 I also pick out the capsule and out everything on hangers, everything else is folded on shelves above so I have easy access but they're not in active rotation. This way I see jeans, shorts, shirts, dresses etc. so I have an overview. Thanks for a great video!

    What do you mean by put items in storage? Can you make a video on how you store items?

    • @KimBedene
      @KimBedene  6 месяцев назад

      Storage is just an area where you store out of season items 😊 I used to store my items in an empty suitcase, then in the bottom drawer as you see in this video, and currently I moved things into a bed bench for easy access. Hope this helps! 😉

    Frankly I think the sheer button down shirts look cheap unless worn open over a camisole, as a layering piece.

    This hasn't been helpful for me. I thought the point of a capsule was being able to use a small number of clothes to mix and match to create different outfits. Therefore if we're not talking about colours then it's not really a capsule, it's just a tidy wardrobe.

    • @KimBedene
      @KimBedene  5 месяцев назад

      Thanks for the honest feedback 🙂 I agree that colours are very important, that is why I suggest analysing the no pile because this way our colour palette will become streamlined over time (that's how I found my colour palettes). But I understand it may not be a quick enough process for everyone, that's why I also created a video specifically on how to find your colour palette that you can watch here: ruclips.net/video/oM31JDs4Fy0/видео.htmlsi=woJ2D2kR1c2S67tC I hope this helps! 🥰❤
