I have that problem now , Got a used latch asm for 25 from the junk yard , If you got a key hole you have to replace it with one ,Theres a sensor plug on key hole lock models only ,, I got mine rekeyed at the locksmith for 30
My truck Chevy Tahoe I manage to open it from the inside Manually and I push the switch to open and I could open it from the outside when I do that, once I press the remote or the car automatically locks that I cannot open it again only manually, basically the car of the tailgate locks but it doesn’t unlock Do you think it’s the motor or it’s an alignment ?
I'd assume since it locks that the motor is fine I literally took everything apart and put it back together I think alot of issues people have is the lock button being stuck in like fornthe hatch window and if that's pushed in it will mess things up most likely somethings out of wack there's a pretty good amount of parts moving around back there it can get confusing mine would stick and stay locked turns out the button just wasn't moving in and out freely
Shawn Schuster no Push button it’s not pusht in It’s just like the car is locked and you could push in but it’s not the state pushed in just like a regular lock vehicle nothing happens
@@andrewortiz687 it sounds like something with the handle might be messed up like it’s unlocked cause the glass opens but the lever for the handle isn’t actuating the door lock

I just took the insides of the lock out as long as the trucks locked it'll stay locked with the fob

I'd really go with a alignment issue mostly though they get pretty worn out from unlocking and locking

Shawn Schuster I add some WD-40 it works for now I had miss Function on and off but it works
The glass on mine will open but the main lift gate stays shut I pull the handle from outside up and it won’t budge as if though it’s still locked
